The charming authentic Tuscan Trattoria has an atmosphere perfect for fine dining. The setting is maderate, casual, and fun with several areas suitable for views. Trattoria Belvedere returns authenticity to Northern Italian Cuisine. Our Tiramisu (best in the city) our home made ravioli stuffed with lobster and a traditional tagliata (Tuscan Steak) our daily special. In addition to the great food, our staff our staff will always surprise you with a special wine selection not on our list. Old world Italian food!

Found this place six or seven years ago on a Friday night when many places were full and wouldn't be able to seat us for at least an hour. Wandering down Lexington, looking at menus in windows, we came across Trattoria Belvedere and make it a point to dine there whenever we're in NYC. The menu is large enough to... More

My daughter and I stumbled upon this little gem while in NYC. A charismatic gentleman in the doorway insisted his was the best Italian food in the city! We believed him and gave it a shot. Sooo glad we did. A small candlelit romantic oasis with open windows to the street and Italian waiters striving to meet your every need.... More

Such a wonderful find while strolling along Midtown Manhattan and looking for a place to have pasta for dinner. A small restaurant perfect for couples, families and friends. They had a wide array of specials for the night but I chose to have the Pasta Ragu off the menu while my partner had one of their specials, the Fettuccine with... More

we were a big crowd of 14. Someone ordered apps for the table and they were brought on individual plates. The burrata and bruschetta were really good. Everyone seemed to like the food. The vegetarians were well taken care of. The Branzino was really as was the Osso Bucco on polenta. The wine was excellent. Skip the dessert. Had better... More

Really Enjoyed dinner with my college-age son here... Food was very good quality and reasonable for NYC. Attentive service but not overdone. No wait, just steady stream of mostly local patrons. Not a destination restaurant but a quiet place to get an excellent meal so exactly what we wanted.

Took my family of 6 for dinner because we couldn't get in any of the "popular" spots in theater district. Glad we found this place! Plenty of table options for larger groups, nice ambience, freshly made pastas and sauces, and reasonable prices. My 4 kids (ages 10-16) all approved! Portions adequate but not large (appropriate for price point). Very attentive... More

in Murrey hill, frequented by locals in the neighborhood. A delicious eggplant pasta, veal scalopini, shared pear salad and tira misu were about $55-60. Wait staff attentive in re supply of wines but never refilled our water glasses.

Visiting family, yearning for great Italian food. Belvedere was the answer to our prayers. Veal scalloping with mushroom sauce, gnocchi and pasta with fish all fabulous. If we lived here I would visit often.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
