When i'm not with Mrs O i'm usually dining out with work colleagues and so it was that a group of 12 of us, 5 from the UK and 7 from the US went to Sambuca for dinner to wrap up a days work. The service was good with a knowlegable waiter guiding us through the ordering and keeping our... More

Located step from Central Park west this restaurant has very good food. Most dishes are served family style and the portions are very large. The restaurant is often very busy and at those times service suffers. Reservations via Open Table have been honored but we have been turned away without reservations at times. Gluten free options available. Great salads for... More

Recently visited this restaurant in November when holidaying in New York. Had previously visited the restaurant and decided to return ... glad we did. The food and service was fantastic. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and assisted with our order. Food was excellent :)

Attended a friends retirement dinner. The party for over 50 people was in the nack room. Food was served family style. Appetizers were large platters of fried calamari, bruscetta, tomato and mozzarella, and a mixed green salad. For entree the platters were chicken parmiagiana, spagetti with sausage, linguine with garlic and seafood, and chicken with tomatoes and onions. Desserts were... More

Not the best gluten free restaurant out there, but I had a safe meal. Our waiter was not very knowledgeable about cross-contamination and GF menu items, but the manager came and placed the order. They have GF pasta and pizza, GF beer, and GF bread. But, the waiter brought out the GF bread resting on top of the regular bread... More

Nice local place with a gluten free menu. Service has deteriorated recently with the new décor. My family likes it due to the gluten free menu and family style menu as well. Tables are set apart comfortably. It used to be a 'go to' place for us, but not so much anymore. Reasonable value

Sambuca's has an extensive menu and it is all delicious! A small group of us were here for a work outing. We ordered several appetizers and entrees. Everything was exceptional. If you are looking for delicious family style Italian food this place is a must try!

Great food but the service was very poor. We were stuck in the corner and almost had to trip the waiter to get any kind of service.

We had a great meal at Sambuca; half of our table was gluten free and half was not. All loved their meals. David was extremely patient with all our celiac disease questions about cross contamination and we ended up having a fun dinner with good food.

We wanted to take our nephew and his girl friend to a good restaurant. We chose Sambuca due to the rave reviews that we saw here. We reserved, arrived and were seated on time. Orders were taken, wine chosen, then the problems started. The red wine was tepid warm, not room temperature, so they chilled the wine in an ice... More
