CLOSED. We went to Carmines instead. It would have been nice to know it was closed before getting a taxi there.

My family took me here for the first time and it was superb. We shared a humongous bass fish that was to die for. I also had pork chops that literally fell off of the bone. The price and atmosphere was just right. Great for a night out with family, friends or colleagues.

Excellent Asian food, totally worth the subway ride uptown. Prices are reasonable and the food is really really really good. Very satisfying dishes. Strongly recommend to try the L14, the best dish at the restaurant.

Really saddened by just about ALL the great Asian restaurants in the Upper West Side closing within the past few months. (A plot against Asian-food lovers?) This was my very favorite Vietnamese restaurant (along with many other friends and reviewers), and I'm shocked to find it has recently closed, along with my favorite Malaysian restaurant (Penang) and several others. But... More

Saigon Grill is one of my favorites in NYC. A must everytime I visit! The restaurant is close to Union Square and is very spacious (compared to most NYC restaurants) so wait time is usually very short. The food is very tasty! Personal favorites are Bo Luc Lac (#45) and Bun Xao (#78 with beef usually). they have some good... More

Very spacious with plenty of tables you are sure to get a seat even on a friday night in NY. The food is fine, nothing special, but above average. The price is reasonable and the menu is diverse.

Great food at a fair price. While you may have to pass by picketers (they have been attempting to unionize this restaurant for several years and they have been the subject of labor disputes) the food is great.

Sea bass, steamed with aspargus and shitaki mushrooms, cocoanut soup with shrimp, ummm, good, try it, reasonable. This is the only restaurant that I would recommend for now, also try the whole crispy sea bass, with tamarind sauce.

We have eaten at Saigon Grill a couple of times over several years. Excellent food and superior value. I had a whole crispy sea bass for $20, and that is the best price for that item I have found anywhere in the US, much less NYC. They seem to have some labor issues--pickets were out front the day we were... More
