Saigon Grill is one of my favorites in NYC. A must everytime I visit! The restaurant is close to Union Square and is very spacious (compared to most NYC restaurants) so wait time is usually very short. The food is very tasty! Personal favorites are Bo Luc Lac (#45) and Bun Xao (#78 with beef usually). they have some good... More

Very spacious with plenty of tables you are sure to get a seat even on a friday night in NY. The food is fine, nothing special, but above average. The price is reasonable and the menu is diverse.

Great food at a fair price. While you may have to pass by picketers (they have been attempting to unionize this restaurant for several years and they have been the subject of labor disputes) the food is great.

Sea bass, steamed with aspargus and shitaki mushrooms, cocoanut soup with shrimp, ummm, good, try it, reasonable. This is the only restaurant that I would recommend for now, also try the whole crispy sea bass, with tamarind sauce.

We have eaten at Saigon Grill a couple of times over several years. Excellent food and superior value. I had a whole crispy sea bass for $20, and that is the best price for that item I have found anywhere in the US, much less NYC. They seem to have some labor issues--pickets were out front the day we were... More

Good food at cheap prices. Very extensive menu. Good service. Very spacious and very popular, but not too noisy. Kid friendly

I got takeout from this restaurant regularly for years, and it's always been a mainstay when we visit NYC. But I am sad to say I don't think I will be back. Those cheap prices don't come cheap, and I've found some of the dishes have suffered. My favorite, the Cha Gao, are unrecognizable now....filled with taro instead of pork... More

We used to dine here for many years. Having moved to the UK, we miss this place terribly. The spare ribs are do die for. But, just about anything you order here is delicious. The service is quick, simple and no-drama (don't expect a waiter to introduce themselves and tell you about specials and give your kids crayons - not... More

For diners used to European and Australian versions of Vietnamese food or, even better, Vietnamese originals, the Saigon Grill is a very poor imitation. This is a busy and large restaurant and service is quick. But the food itself (and we didn't try the Japanese menu) was disappointing. The Goi ga or Vietnamese coleslaw - which is always our measure... More
