Broad mediteranian

For such a big and busy restaurant the service was attentive and fast. The menu is a broad selection of mediteranian staples even though the local claim to rights of these dishes may vary. We found the humus and falafel good but the sauces a bit bland. Great feta and the shish kebab was tender but... read more

Three of us had the 4-course lunch specials yesterday at the Turkish Kitchen. What great food. I had the Iskender Kebob, which I had never had before, and it was simply fantastic. We used to go regularly when we lived in Manhattan but we will definitely make it there more often.

I've been a patron of Turkish Kitchen for about 14 years now, and REALLY want to like it, but unfortunately the food is just not that good. My husband and I have spent almost 3 weeks in Istanbul, so I'd like to think that we know what good a Turkish food is. While Turkish Kitchen's lentil soup is delicous, most... More

I met someone here for a business lunch as it is a favorite of theirs. It was wonderful! The appetizers and the entrees were all very good. The Lentil soup, seafood, lamb, and beef, were all wonderful. Their liver was to die for, and I am not even crazy about Liver. I would go back for the Liver alone! We... More

In an area of cheaper eateries the Turkish Kitchen shines. I was with a Turkish friend who recommended the restaurant. A sophisticated dining room with very attentive service (perhaps almost too attentive at times). The food is superb we had a selection of starters including; Karga, soslu Patlican, Ispanak and creamy Tarama salatasi. The doner kebab for main course was... More

This is a beautiful restaurant. It has a full bar and great cool drinks. I like it for a client lunch but it would be good anytime. It has two price fixed lunches one at 12.95 with two choices and the second is 16.95 with four choice It has wonderful lamb dishes served with delicious rice and I like the... More

Turkish Kitchen has been around for years and was a favorite of ours in the 1990's and on impulse my wife and I recently returned. The pureed eggplant, manti and lamb were as good as we remembered and the shepherds' salad continues to be one of the freshest and best tasting salads I've ever had. The decor may show its... More

The service was incomparable. The food was incredible. Don't miss coffee and dessert. The platter as an appetizer was great and easy to share for two or any number. The veal dishes were great. This place would suit a vegetarian too. What a great restaurant!

This Turkish restaurant has the largest selection of appetizers, main dishes and desserts of any Turkish restaurant in Manhattan. The decor is very pleasant, as is the service, which is friendly, courteous and able. Cocktails are well prepared and there is a good selection of wines; among the Turkish wines we particularly liked Karga which is good and reasonably priced.... More

This was my husband and I'm second time to this establishment. We had previously been last December/January when we had brought our 18 year old son to NYC for his birthday. He had been tasked with finding us restaurants that served cuisine that we could not easily find in our home state. This was the first one he chose. None... More
