Fast Service and Good Food and Wine

Cara Mia is a pleasant little Italian bistro in the Theatre district with wonderful food (the Branzino Sea Bass was very good indeed), and fast, friendly service. Visited this small restaurant while bisiting NYC for the weekend. Serbice and atmosphere was classy but far from stuckup. Food was delicious as well as sangria. Was sitting close to doors that were opened to outside, was nice breeze and beautiful sunshine coming in. Great experience and filled our belly nicely;)

I was excited to try out this place and bought an Internet special. However we were informed we couldn't use the prix fix menu. Total price was 80 bucks minus the voucher granted that did include about 25 bucks in drinks. So Overpriced and our entrees didn't come until 25 min after our salads were taken. All the other reviews... More

We planned to eat in the Hell's Kitchen area and came across this restaurant. It was quiet, presumably because it was Monday...but the food was excellent and the service was very good. They had other options not just Italian... We had a glass of house wine and that was also good.

On a recent trip to New York City a friend and I visited Cara Mia for a late lunch, Cara Mia was recommended by a local bar tender. We had a lovely meal at the "fixed price" . The pleasant meal, good service and great location combined to be part of a great weekend of to a good start to... More

Arrived at 6:35PM on a Saturday evening for a reservation we made for 6:45. table was ready and we sat right down. I was pretty shocked about that but very hungry and pleased we did not have to wait. The place was packed and we ordered some drinks. My Peroni beer was served ice cold and in a frosted glass.... More

This place was fantastic! I will definitely go back there the next time I'm in the city. The food was fresh, wine list was great, and the service rocked!

My husband I just recently had a nice visit in NYC and really enjoyed a pre theater meal at Cara Mia. We ordered from the Prix Fix menu, and each item was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and served piping hot. Service was fast and friendly, so we made our play in plenty of time. The only flaw would be... More

On Ninth Avenue and 46th Street in New York's Theatre District, there is a small, inviting, homey Italian restaurant called CaraMia....aptly named. Every element: atmosphere, service, quality, delicious food---all A+!!!! From the delicious focaccia bread and fruity olive oil (for dipping!) to the perfect calamari fritti to fusilli and sausage and fresh spring vegetables to pork scalloping and spinach---and a... I went to restaurant with family and a friend. It was a very cold day but the temperature in restaurant had been raised too much and it was uncomfortable. One of the negative things about the restaurant is that the tables are extremely extremely close and as a result, it is noises! The food was very good and we mostly... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
