Great food, decent value... very loud dinner service however

This week was my third dinner service at Harding's and overall, it was another success. From the rustic decorated interior (love the old worn gigantic American Flag hanging on one of the walls) to the fantastic service it was a success. Our table this past week, shared the Fig Toast which is... read more

From the rustic decorated interior (love the old worn gigantic American Flag hanging on one of the walls) to the fantastic service it was a success. The Bar is hopping and our drinks were excellent as were the french fries we ordered to go with our drinks. The fries deserve a few words since they were hand cut, very generous portion and were delicious. My husband had the lobster mac and cheese which he enjoyed. I thought the pasta in the lobster mac and cheese was... More

With the MAD MEN TV program coming to an end, several restaurants in New York City offered lunches--either liquid or food--for $19.69, the year in which the program is set. We chose HARDING'S at 32 East 21 Street, NYC. They not only offered food but had two items to choose from in Appetizer and in Entrée. Being foodies, this restaurant... More

We enjoyed the brunch and service at Harding's and would recommend this hip spot. The interior is well done and the location is in one of our favorite areas. The service was warm and friendly and the food was all very good. If you are looking for brunch this is a good choice and they actually take reservations.

Went there for Sat night dinner booked on Open Table. Table of 6 with two kids 10-6. Put us in the best seat in the house.. corner round table. Waiter (from Brazil, forgetting his name now) could read my mind/anticipate every request. Highly recommend the short ribs, the Fig/Honey Toasts, Beet salad. Good wine and cocktail list. Was loud- in... More

Great location, nice interior and there was a "Michelin recommended" sticker on the window - so we were hopeful of a nice dinner with friends. Unfortunately the food was ordinary at best and the service simply didn't exist. It started with no coat check at the door (no big deal however it is the standard even for low-end restaurants in... The food here was excellent, but something was missing from making this a truly great dining experience. My friends were late so I started my night with a tasty Tom Collins from the friendly bartender. We only had 3 and we're seated at an absurdly massive round table, but after some teeth-pulling we were allowed to move to a more... More

We popped in to Harding's on the way to Gramercy Tavern, it was a real bustling place with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Nice, well mixed cocktails, pop in if you're in this neck of the woods

Harding's takes a place on my must-visits in NYC because of the American history that it puts forth and holds strong. If you want to go to a bar that feels like a speakeasy in the 21st century- Harding's is for you. The owner grew up in NYC and his love for this metropolis is evident in the interesting artifacts... Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
