I've been there a couple of times for events. The cafe can hold a large group of people both indoors and outdoors. It's best to go there during warm and dry weather. It's right on the Hudson river, I've watched an amazing sunset from there. Bar service was pretty good and generally waitstaff is courteous. They're not known for their... More

Boat Basin is a destination restaurant. The food was good...not 5 star but why would you expect 5 star at a fun, dockside pub? The service, view and atmosphere makes it worth the trip.

A view of the city and the Hudson could not get more scenic. Arrive early as the bar gets crowded in the evening. Go for either one of the burgers or the baby back ribs (these fall off the bone and are absolutely perfect). Definitely a must visit!!!

This cafe is very loud and holds a lot of people. That said, it's great location allows for view of the Hudson River, and the stone stairs take you right down to the walking/bike path.

Here, you really can enjoy lunch. But look past the plastic plates and cutlery, be prepared to sup beer or wine from squishy party cups, and pass through the "beer-garden" section of the restaurant to access the open terrace. Here, insulated from the city bedlam, you will find the food is good, and reasonably priced, the service is efficient and... More

The food was ok-ish although being served on thin plastic plates did make it seem worse than it probably was - the price is reasonable on the surface however whe it arrives it seems expensive for what you get - Starbucks for larger sandwiches for half the price. The service was the worst we've had in NYC although at was... More

I have been to Manhattan too many times to count and absolutey had no idea that this place even existed. We have always been captivated by everything the city has to offer from Downtown to Central Park. We were invited by friends to meet here. It was absolutely beautiful. The views and atmosphere were fun and vibrant. I would recommend... More

Can't beat the location/atmosphere at Boat Basin. Let's face it, though, this is the only reason New Yorkers come here. Service is generally bad, drinks overpriced, and food downright awful. Basically the selection is previously frozen burgers, chicken fingers, and poorly cooked fish. Go for drinks and atmosphere, but eat somewhere else first.

stumbled over this place walking along the banks of the Hudson. Very glad I stopped. The view of the marina and the Hudson are really good - the table settings basic. BUT I had the grilled salmon burger and, I have to say, it was the best burger I have had in years. Well done. I hope this was not... More
