Description: Artisanal Fromagerie, Bistro and Wine Bar showcases the formidable creativity and passion of Chef-Proprietor Terrance Brennan who adds playful twists to classic French bistro dishes. Selecting only premium ingredients, Brennan’s commitment to the use of artisanal, sustainable and organic products is evident in the quality of each dish. Recalling a bustling Parisian bistro, Artisanal’s handsome Art Deco interior offers the sophisticated French specialties one might expect in Paris. As the name implies, Artisanal features a scrumptious selection of 250 hand-crafted cheeses from around the world. In the back of the dining room is the cheese cave, a temperature and humidity controlled room, where a number of the world’s finest artisanally-made cheeses are aged to optimum ripeness and peak flavor. Adjacent to the dining room is the wine bar, which boosts 75 wines by the glass.

One month into dating, my now wonderful wife and I took our first trip together to NYC. We ate at this restaurant and throughly enjoyed it. We decided to celebrate our 1st year anniversary with a trip back to NYC, and ate here again. The Stout & Gouda fondue is absolutely delicious. We will make this a must-do every time... More

A group of us went for the Express Lunch menu which was $22 per person. Very good value for two courses which were simply delicious! The service could have been slightly more attentive, but the food more than makes up for it.

I love the atmosphere, just enough light and moodiness but most of all the food is amazing....my favorite is the french fries with truffle aioli...to die for....love salads are so fresh and taste like locally grown....AND the best wines by the glass....the White Burgundys are the best....I love this restaurant....always great company and always great food and service....

We arrived for an after theater dinner ca. 9:30--not so late, in fact people were seated as we were finishing our dinner. . But we were rushed. We ordered and were served cocktails, but hardly had time for a sip before salad was served. As salad plate was being removed we requested that we not be served the main course... More

Try this restaurant for some great french tasting experience. All dishes cooked to perfection, from the appetizers to the desserts and cheeeses. Very nice decoration and staff. A must.

Yummy food with a unique "French" atmosphere! Plan to spend the evening there as the fondue is also an activity.

Had dinner here over Easter. The food was excellent and the wine list very good too (though the wine by the glass was expensive). Once inside the atmosphere is very like a bistro in Paris though the waiters are far more friendly in New York! Ultimately, though, it's all about the cheese selection - which is extensive and comes to... More

This is a wonderful restaurant with very good french dishes and sandwiches and the best selection of cheeses in town. The wine selection is also very high quality and the service is good. This is an exceptional place to try. Been there many times.

Coming from Melbourne you really do need to travel to understand just how good restaurants in Melbourne are but also just how expensive they are. We stay a few doors up from the Artisanal so dropped in one night for dinner as was delighted with the ambiance as well the wine list and the food but the cheese selection was... More

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We had the fondue of course after seeing it on the cooking channel and for my son's birthday he ordered the chocolate fondue for dessert. We also ordered a salami appetizer and I had fresh oysters and a local beer. Best part of the night was our waiter. I just loved... More
