Le Colonial is a truly delightful culinary experience. Like stepping into French Colonial Southeast Asia, this two-story restaurant, designed by Greg Jordan, consists of a main dining room with louvered wall panels, colorful tile floors, and vintage photos of Vietnam. Upstairs is an elegant, but lively, lounge serving a full dinner or just appetizers and cocktails. The lounge serves as an ideal setting for private parties and business dinners. Le Colonial serves an authentic Vietnamese menu with an emphasis on fresh seafood, meats, and vegetables.

Excellent asian fusion sharing adventure!

A fusion Asian spot that has inventive options and excellent service. The atmosphere is palm trees on a terrace somewhere in an Asian island..most of the items are shareable and should be...some are spicy so watch that if you are sensitive.

This is a romantic restaurant that I first reviewed on March 12, 2015, and I ordered the same thing this time as the last time. The Cha Gio, described as crispy rolls of pork, shrimp and crab appetizer (five to an order), served with a sauce, did not seem as good this time as the last time. The roast duck... More

I love vietnamese since i went last January however this place is not very good & way overpriced. I had the price fixe menu as it was restaurant week & felt like the food was below average and pricey.

Sadly, I had a very disappointing experience starting with a flat glass of champagne, continued by inattentive service - getting the waiter's attention that the champagne wasn't good, and after knocking my knife to the floor (the whole fish was served on a large rectangular plate with a lip making it impossible to place a utensil) had a waiter pick... nice ambience, good food -- but not necessarily for people with food allergies. They tried to accommodate my soy and gluten allergies. But clearly, they don't have a thorough grip of what they used: I believe they use oil that has some soy element and the chef didn't know their spring roll wrapper has soy in it. It could be... For s special and memorable experience while in any of the three cities mentioned try Le Colonial. Superb fine dining both food and service. We have eaten at all three locations and this is our favorite place to take friends and family.

I ate here several years ago and was happy to return for a special dinner with some old friends. We all ordered from the prix fixe menu, which seemed like a good deal and had several tempting and interesting options. The food (salmon and a trio including shrimp and beef brochettes) was perfectly prepared and portion size was good. All... More

I have been going to this restaurant for years and we went again last night, it has been a while for us, probably the first time after their renovation. The look and feel still remind the same, but everything is up a notch. I love their Pho because you can just tell their ingredients are good, and the reality got... More

This was my second time at Le Colonial. The first time, my food was very good, but my dessert was the stuff dreams are made of. So, when we returned to the city...I insisted we go back.As we were preparing to order, my husband suggested that next time we come back just for dessert. Ha! He was singing a different... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
