Special location if you are visiting NYC

What a great location! Mezzanine level looking out over the beautiful bustling Grand Central Station. Service is fine and friendly. Food is tasty and steak nicely cooked.

we ate at this restaurant on the last night of NY restaurant week where there is a fixed price menu. For the price the food was good but I would have been disappointed to pay full a la carte price. What makes this place special is the location - Mezzanine level of Grand Central Station. Fabulous view of the architecture... More

The location of the restaurant in the heart of Grand Central Station is a wonderful way to be a part of the action - without having to be engrossed in it. Our dinner was quiet and relaxing, and the architecture of Grand Central provides amazing scenery. While the steak is delicious, I have to admit that I was swept away... More

Lunch in Grand Central Station. We're at the bar, on tge balcony overlooking the central concourse. The burger lunch special isn't cheap, but it is a delicious burger. Cooked just the way you like it. The service is perfect, your fellow diners are classy. A very New York experience.

My issue with Michael Jordan's, it's a great place to grab a quick bite or drink before jumping on a train, but the service at the bar can be summed up in one word - rude. If it wasn't for the convenience, it would be closed.

Steak is good and I love the view of Grand Central while eating. Service is good. There are 2 dining areas - one by the bar, and one on the upper level.

After a morning walking around the Financial District with some friends, we ended up at Grand Central Terminal in time for lunch and chose this one. As we were already booked to go out for dinner that night, we wanted something a little lighter so passed over the set lunch and selected one main course each. My crab cocktail was... More

Cool atmosphere as could be expected in the middle of Grand Central Station. The big burger was excellent, however, priced like you would imagine. Staff was extremely friendly.

We decided to visit grand central station on our first night in New York, while on our way to Times Square. We decided to have a drink at the bar at micheal Jordan's, and the service was so friendly and quick and in such a beautiful setting that we came back for dinner after visiting Times Square!! I normally hate... More

I went to this place with low expectations and I was right. Minestrone soup didn't have any vegetables or beans, only with elbow pasta. Broth tasted like can or packaged. Sliced strip steak came as three pieces of steak 2 x 2 with twice baked potato. The potato was not even a whole potato. It was about a tablespoon and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
