4th visit

This is our 4th its to MJ's in Grand Central Station but our first with our 10 year old towns. I asked for a balcony table so they could watch the comings and goings of GCS which we did get. We loved sitting in Grand Central Station and dining while watching the people from this terrace restaurant. The architecture itself is worth going for. The brunch was a tad expensive but excellent. Service was good. It was a very worthwhile experience overall. I recommend it for lunch!

The restaurant is located in the spectacular surrounding of Central Station. The first course of chilled shellfish was superb. It was followed by the famous local New York Steak which was tasty and perfectly cooked as requested. The only mishap was the Atlantic Salmon dish, served cold and reserved heated in a microwave, dry and with its sauce altered by... More

It's a real steakhouse in the iconic Grand Central Station. Great people watching venue but still can be a hidden oasis removing you from the madness of the commuter and tourist rush. I usually get the hamburger and did this time as well. Great burgers and fries. French Onion soup also terrific.

Our first visit was in 2006 and it was amazing! The ambience, service, and food were so memorable! First of all, the ambience can't be beat -- you're overlooking Grand Central Station. Then there was the adornment of the professional wait staff -- dignified, smooth and experienced. We had the gorgonzola fondue, jumbo shrimp, a couple filet dishes, Bull burger... More

It is in a great location- there is no denying that. There are a few restaurants on the upper level of Grand Central, I would not chose this one. The food was mediocre at best and the service was poor. We wanted to drink coffee but we were told that we had to order lunch to sit with the good... More

Usually a wonderf oasis to the end of day commute, was utterly disappointed at the service today at the bar. A staff member gave everyone around the bar a bowl of popcorn, but me. When I pointed out their oversight they suggested I get the popcorn myself. I was upset, so I left no tip... They did not care... It... More

Was here on business and you couldn't ask for a better setting than overlooking the floor of Grand Central Station. Great food, friendly staff and a wonderful environment make this a "must visit" destination.

I like Steak! It's always one of my first choices when in New York. The meat here is fantastic quality which is a good start. The menu is very good and the food is great. It's good value for what you get. I've been a few times now and I'll be back for more.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
