Good value

This is a neighborhood favorite for us with vegetarian and fish options. The good is good and not too pricey. The service is adequate, not fantastic. They don't hover.

An upscale coffee shop. Nothing to write home about. My wife and daughter thought their dishes were ok, but my burger tasted through and through of fat - pan fried, not grilled. Viand, around the corner is better, and less expensive.

The food was awful. No flavor and expensive. We had a $40 steak that tasted like leather and butternut squash ravioli that tasted like dirty shoes. Awful food

If you live in NYC (Manhattan in particular), you might eat out a lot. Mostly, It is that there really are an outstanding variety of high quality restaurants in NYC. My friend was visiting from out of town and we were going to eat at a restaurant near the Film Society of Lincoln Center, but it was taken over by... More

There are better. Did a great steak but other dishes were poor. Lacks atmosphere and the smell of hot oil from the stir fry (I guess) made a bad smell.

Miserable service, mediocre food, elevated prices. We've eaten at many places on the UWS and are fairly accustom to NY prices, but usually get good service. Was very disappointed - had good review, won't be back. Maybe an off evening, but would have thought either food or service would have been good- not!

I love the home made bread and butter and jam. You need to wait for the table for 15 mins during lunch hours. The portion is very small if you are ordered a la carte but the food is sufficient for today menu choice. The best moment for having your bunch is around 11am to 12 pm as there are... More

We stopped by for lunch and were really hungry, the soup was over sweet, the tofu has been warmed up in microwave and became like sponge, the "roasted veggies" appeared to be boiled. The owner started to argue but eventually took one dish from check. The server was ok. Very disappointing start for our 4 days in NYC.

Josie's has a terrific vegetarian cheeseburger. My experience suggests that you would do well to skip the cheese. It will still be a good veggie option. The server was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere quiet. My only negative was the wine. I chose the sole cabernet available by the glass. It was so sweet, I could not finish it;... More
