Great food

Amazing shrimp as big as your hand! A busy and quite noisy restaurant but great food and atmosphere. Worth a visit, particularly if you love steak and seafood

An old style New York steakhouse with great service and fantastic food. A great selection on the menu with some very tasty sides. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the calamari was a big hit all round. A very extensive wine cellar. Not cheap but well worth the money

Visited the restaurant twice for NY steak - both with succes! The cheese cake is also good however you should NOT expect the crispy bottom. The servings are pretty large and the kids shared a meny. Plenty of food for everyone and the vagestables were fresh and the fries good. The restaurant is good for both business diners as well... More

I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS STEAKHOUSE HIGHLY ENOUGH! We stumbled across this place after a brisk walk down from 45th Street, Madison Ave- through the High Line. I had been craving steak for a few days the Old Homestead did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection and was of a melt in your mouth quality! The staff were friendly... More

Perfect in every department, we expected a great meal, but even then, we were surprised, it was better than we could have even hoped for. The service was faultless by the attentive server. I would suggest that any one wanting to succeed at the top end of the fine dining business would do well to take note of this exceptional... More

went back to my favorite NYC Steakhouse last week, for my retirement dinner. we were a party of 9, the staff was very responsive, one of our diners ordered the prime rib, it was 4 inches thick, perfectly rare and marbled, not to mention delicious. I ordered the filet mignon ( why not, its my last free meal!) it was... More

Classic dining. Great appetizers: try the garlic bread with the parmesian sauce. This could be a meal. We had hamburgers, fries and onion rings. Great service. Calm atmosphere.

Ordered porterhouse steak for two, for lunch. Also got garlic mash potatoes. 1) Ordered the steak medium well. came out very pink, which my wife finds disgusting. 2) Steak was tepid, as if it had been sitting for a while. The plate was not hot enough to continue cooking the meat. 3) We asked the waiter if the plate was... More

My daughter and I wanted a traditional steak. The quality and preparation were right on. We started with a beet and a wedge salad, which were both excellent. She had the bacon wrapped filet and I had the bone in filet. We split s serving of Mac and cheese. The service was as expected, super. Definitely worth the price.
