Can't beat the dim sum!

When in Chinatown you must stop in for dim sum! It's an experience that you can't just explain without actually having sat down and tried to keep up! In true dim sum fashion, women wheel carts full of a variety of small plates around the room and ply you with their wares. Eat cart holds a few... read more

A banquet at Golden Unicorn is a special event worth celebrating. Just got back from a 10 course banquet and it was just excellent. The flavors, visuals, and atmosphere just makes this a truly awesome place to celebrate family and friends. I have been to restaurant many times (>20) for dim sum and dinner. Every visit has been a wonderful... More

Been wanting to post about this place for a while. Went there with friends. Long wait so be ready for that. There were 3 of us so they sat us at a round table with 4 other people. But it was fun and we were hungry. I will say it was the best Dim Sum I've ever had then and... More

We were taken by a friend to Chinatown. The Golden Unicorn was crowded on a Sunday and we had to wait about 30 minutes for our table. But once seated the service was unrushed, efficient and friendly. And the food at times better than what you get in Shanghai or Hongkong. A wonderful experience !

I really really love Dim Sum offered here. I came here with my friends during Saturday morning and it was very awesome. I love the food which was just like back China. The servers were nice too.

My husband and I were left very disappointed last night when we were turned away from this resturant. We are currently on our honeymoon in NYC and two months ago, (after extensive planning and research,) I made a reservation with the Golden Unicorn, as we both love Dim Sum and the Dim Sum at The Golden Unicorn were rated very... We went to Golden Unicorn with some friends for dinner. Unfortunately the dim sum menu had ended, but it was a very nice meal overall. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The service was friendly and all in all it was a nice dining experience.

I was taken aback in the beginning when the servers were rushing in and out with their portable food cart, offering us different types of food, whether we wanted to take them or not. We were kind of confused if they got the wrong order for us, but it turns out that's just how the place works, and that you... More

Authentic dim sum and Cantonese food; but weekends have large party and very crowded. Call for large group reservation may help!

My friend suggested that we go here for lunch since this is one of the best dimsum places she has ever been (she's Chinese, so she knows what she is talking about). When we reached the place, it was packed and the queue was LOOONNNGG! We were number 97 and the number being called was 33. But despite that, we... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
