Didnt eat here but had drinks. Array of beers from Peru, Argentina etc. Staff really good and not overly expensive. Could be open during the day though.

My friend told me about this restaurant, so I decide to give a try. I loved it. For appetizer we chose the "Picada" It is a combination of many appetizers. It is huge! After eating the Picada I was full. I chose the Bistec for entree. I was very well served. I would say only the "Picada" would be enough... More

Not sure if I should write first about the lovely team at this restaurant or the food. We happened upon Calle Ocho at the last minute during a one night romantic trip to NYC. We had five small plates and mojitoes and sangria. We love octopus and their grilled octopus was very, very good. Our favorite dish was the arepas.... More

The hotel foyer was so regal, I expected the dining experience to be the same. Overall, it was very disappointing. Though the service was rather great, the food was not up to par. The tuna ceviche was the only item we enjoyed. Thank God it was fresh! The octopus appetizer was inedible, it was NOT FRESH. Steak was asked to... More

This restaurant is located in a hotel. I had stayed at the hotel a couple of years ago, but never noticed the restaurant, since I typically do not eat at hotel restaurants unless I am in a pinch. Fast forward a couple of years and I needed to find a restaurant in that area of town (UWS) so I looked... More

Just across 81st from AMNH. Outstanding food, great service, wonderful atmosphere. Natalia is an outstanding waitress. She makes the food sound so good.

The food was very tasty and reasonably priced as were the cocktails. Very warm and cozy atmosphere for a late night date.

Seven of us celebrated here after a city hall wedding. The service was terrific and the prices commensurate with the quality of their food, atmosphere and attentiveness. Great party. Sangria delicious--not very potent, but that was fine with us!

Spent a fall weekend in the Upper West side and found this amazing spot! Stop in 3 times , once for dinner and cocktails otherwise. Great seating area for cocktails, the white sangria and Mojito were everything you would expect in a Latin bar! Servers exceptionally warm and attentive. Just a wonderful vibe throughout the restaurant/bar. Lots of energy, all... More

This place serves up, not your average Latin fare. The menu is quite innovative as is the drink menu. The service is pretty solid. The ambiance is something I didn't expect. It's stylish, fun and makes you think about coming back again, if only for a drink at the very cool, energized bar.
