Great food and location

I had lunch this past week at Rue 57, it never disappoints. The place is always busy but the service and food is always great. From tremendous salads to giagantic sandwiches it really hits the spot

Great food, plentiful portions good for sharing. A little noisy. Excellent service. We split sliders (order well done if you want medium) and had two kinds of fries. The truffle fries weren't very good, but the regular ones are great. We also had popcorn shrimp and salads. All in all a great lunch spot.

We go here every time we come to New York. It has a buzz and cheerfulness that we love. The eclectic (some might say confused) menu means that everyone can find something that pleases. The food is reliable, good quality and, by New York's stratospheric standards, reasonable. Don’t come here for a special night out, it is a lovely lunch... More

we had a delicious dinner here on a Friday night. It was very busy and buzzy, you would definitely need to book ahead. A very French vibe, and attentive and polite service from a charming young man. What I particularly liked was that they didn't make the portions too oversized, I felt comfortably full rather than overstuffed. I had potato... More

Went late at night. Service was good however food was not. Place was recommended by concierge from hotel and this is my second time here from out of town. Neither time was the food good. Bread was burnt fries overdone food bland and steak drowned in sauce. I was very hungry before arriving and disappointed overall. Server was pleasant and... More

We were walking in the snow and decided that sushi and a couple of drinks were in order for our New York experience. The Rue 57 is so inviting from the outside and the inside looks like a bistro in Paris. We were greeted by Heather who couldn't have been any nicer or more welcoming. They had French music playing... We went there Monday night and they have a fried chicken special. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside. Portion is huge so order different dishes and share. The staff is extremely friendly and gives great recommendations.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
