Delicious dinner reasonably priced

The salmon was delicious and the waiter made sure it was prepared just as I requested. It was a little noisy, but quiet compared to other restaurants we tried. Reasonably priced for the neighborhood.

Rue 57 is not for those looking for a quiet relaxing dinner. Food was ok, but service is rushed with high table turnover the norm. My wife and I dined out several nights in NYC in June and this restaurant was friendly but the food was only average compared to our other dining choices. One server needed a wine list... More

Excellent brunch at a decent price for NYC. You can eat in or out on their patio. I would go back for sure. Only a couple of blocks from Central Park.

We stumbled on this place as we came out of subway... we're glad we did. Our family was in a bit of a hurry for lunch... it was 11:00 and they were still serving breakfast. The manager quickly told us he would serve us lunch- I had a Kobe burger and the rest of fam had french dip. We loved... More

Wow - fast service, waiters with a sense of humour. busy but in a controlled way due to its excellent organisation. We had a Plat d'jour and was well satisfied. It's a strange combination of French brasserie and sushi bar but the food is excellent.Reccomend

Good location in Midtown, great ambiance as it feels like a Parisiene Cafe with corner windows and tables to watch the world go by as you sip on a drink but sorry to say the breakfast entree Salmon Benedict was served cold (on a hot dish) with impossible to slice toast and both servings of coffee barely lukewarm. Coffee at... More

If you have time to sit down to dinner, sit down somewhere else. Dinner was ok - nothing special. Sushi was surprisingly delicious but the rolls were a major disappointment. The entree we had (meatloaf) was oversized but not overly delicious. With so many great restaurants around, this place should be a visit if you need a place, not if... More

I love this place! Situated on 57th and 6th on your way up to Central Park, In the summer all the doors open up and you can sit on the side walk and people watch, in the winter it's lovely and warm and cozy, the food is lovely too, grilled cheese and chips in the winter and lite salads in... More

This is a great place to pop in for a glass a late afternoon cocktail and a nibble. After a museum day, capped off with a move at the Paris theater, I enjoyed a little stop at the bar. Great martinis and wonderful artichoke hearts! I'll put Rue 57 on my list of places to go for a meal next... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
