We come and eat at this restaurant every time we are in the city. The steak frites is amazing. Also, we get the sushi as an appetizer and it's equally divine. We discovered this place on our first night in New York wandering the streets of Midtown Manhattan. Our waiter was engaging and knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. Reasonable prices and generous portions. Loved the decor and the atmosphere of the place too.

Good value for money restaurant with reasonable quality food and a nice ambiance. Attentive service although a little noisy on a busy evening.

We were recommended Rue 57 by a friend who had visited NYC in February - it did not disappoint! The service was fantastic from start to finish - our waiter Gregory was outstanding. The food was lovely - two of us had a chicken and cous cous dish, and two of us had burgers - the chips that came with... More

Great location and excellent menu options with a combination of french and japanese dishes. We tried the spicy tuna sushi roll, the crunchy crab roll and then shared some mini kobe burgers. All was delicious and the service very good. It's not a cheap place but rather fairly priced considering the great quality of the food, good service and location.... More

We had a long wait but the food was worth it. I don't think we have been in a restaurant before that is so noisy or busy. Food took a long time to reach us and the service could have been better but we enjoyed the experience. Probably wouldn't go back because there are too many other eateries to enjoy... More

This restaurant is just round the corner of Hyde Park and is very good. Thr sushi is fresh, exquisite and very tasty. The Cobb Salad was very good, varied with a vast number of ingredients and mellow blue cheese sauce. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is really worth the trip and not a tourist trap like many... More

Steps from Central Park, this place attracts a ton of tourists but is fantastic quality. Vintage photos clutter the walls and the menu has an assortment of french/american comfort food. Truffle fries, kobe beef meatloaf, heavy cream pastas... Huge portions and great mixed drinks. Waiters annoy me here, they are either too much or completely absent snobs. Its a great... More

We had a couple of lunches here during our stay because the service and choice of food was just excellent. Good, flexible service and very varied menu - accommodating the most varied of tastes. I stuck to the New York classic, a Reuben and wasn't disappointed. Huge portion and also extremely well flavoured. Predictable excellence.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
