A friend recommended Tocqueville for their uni agnolotti. So we went after looking at many other places. This is a classy looking room that looking fairly formal. And from a look at their wine list and menu, their prices are fairly high. But....we weren't that hungry anyway and decided to order a batch of appetizers and share them all. We... More

As a world traveler and a serious foodie, I have eaten at many top spots all over the world. I have eaten at every 2 and 3 michelen star rated restaurant in Europe.. And as such, I have to say that this hidden gem probably beats them all! Every time I come back here, I find myself continually saying "wow",... More

Elegant room with well spaced tables. Service attentive, especially sommelier, who was extremely knowledgable and offered a number of tastes to help me choose my glass of wine. Food was interesting and delicious with staff graciously accommodating special requests. Main course portions more than adequate for us, but big eaters should not skip appetizers. Nice extras: amuse-bouche and petit-fours. Prices... More

We loved this restaurant. We wanted a french restaurant in New York and wanted to try something new (to us). This was a winner on all fronts. Good looking, kind and sincere welcome and service and truly delicious cuisine. Tables are far enough apart for privacy. The menu was well put together and featured many of the "french favourites" The... More

This is probably the fanciest restaurant that I have ever eaten in, and we went here because my mother's cousin runs it. It was truly fabulous. We will be back.

This must be a hidden gem, because I'm not sure why it doesn't have a Michelin star. The 5-course meal was fantastic from the first (of many) amuses to the petit fours. It was also very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food!

Pleasant service, good food, however atmosphere was lacking in this somewhat tired looking room. No music either. Felt weird.

An understated, NYC celebration restaurant. We were 3 couples, all with very different ideas of a great dining experience. From a sans sauce diner to a vegan to a carnivore, plus three more, the dinner was superb! The men raved about the duck breast entrée! This diner loved the bay scallops. We all savored the blueberry soufflé!

Good food, good service. Nice place for a special meal. Went for my wife birthday and food was great. Definitely needed to book but nice lace for a special romantic meal.

Jason Lawless is a genius. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented and inventive without being tricky. It was one of the best meals I have ever eaten...and I live in New York! In combination with a sensational wine pairing by Master Sommelier, Roger Dagorn (one of only 180 in the world; and formerly of Chanterelle) the dinner was incomparable.
