An understated, NYC celebration restaurant. We were 3 couples, all with very different ideas of a great dining experience. From a sans sauce diner to a vegan to a carnivore, plus three more, the dinner was superb! The men raved about the duck breast entrée! This diner loved the bay scallops. We all savored the blueberry soufflé!

Good food, good service. Nice place for a special meal. Went for my wife birthday and food was great. Definitely needed to book but nice lace for a special romantic meal.

Jason Lawless is a genius. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented and inventive without being tricky. It was one of the best meals I have ever eaten...and I live in New York! In combination with a sensational wine pairing by Master Sommelier, Roger Dagorn (one of only 180 in the world; and formerly of Chanterelle) the dinner was incomparable.

This was our third visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent. My wife had oysters for the first course and lobster for the second. I had asparagus soup and duck. There was a bit of a delay getting served initially, but the restaurant offered us some free champagne before the meal and then provided a lovely dessert and chocolates... More

I'm a food-loving, belly-filling kind of person and there's no shortage of options in NYC. Lucky to say I have tried most of the best and many of the rest. Yet I was caught completely by surprise during recent my lunch at Tocqueville. The beautiful room immediately transported me away from my workday. The menu presented the right number of... More

A refined, quiet and peaceful setting for a meal that was impeccably prepared. The food was subtly complex, delicious and mirrored the setting- refined and elegant. The service was attentive, friendly and knowledgable . I would highly recommend this restaurant to all who are looking for an elegant and serene evening.

Tocqueville was the crown jewel in our recent dining weekend in NYC. First, the room is extremely elegant and refined. Off-white walls with muted artwork. The service was impeccable, with every desire met. Nothing was left to chance. The six diners split a tasting menu, which is comprised of five courses and we paired them with wine. The tasting menu... More

We stopped in for lunch and was genuinely surprised. The atmosphere was beautiful. We sat a the bar rather than wait for a table. Get choice! The service was great! Had a few house special margaritas, that normally I wouldn't try. One was Pineapple with jalapeños. I want to go back just to get another one. We had Carne Asada... More

Prix Fixe menu is nice and not too expensive, but with drinks, can quickly add up. Last time we here, the restaurant was not busy and we were able to secure table on spur of the moment without a reservation. But in an abundance of caution, I'd always make a reservation. Food is well prepared and presented. My wife and... More
