This restaurant is the best secret in Manhattan. The food, wine, music and service are superb. Their prefixe menu is the best in town. Is very cozy and classy.

This restaurant seemed stark and empty. It lacked warmth. No flowers, tone on tone color, and a stuffy wait staff. Few smiles and no personal touch. There were many choices on the menu that I would not eat. Octopus was one. When I ordered the vegetable dish, I was asked if I was a vegetarian. Perhaps there was chicken in... More

We enjoyed an excellent elegant and delicious lunch at this awesome Resturant. It's the best kept secret in Manhattan. Prix fixe lunch menu w wine paring. $47 pp. bargain for Manhattan. I don't understand why the crowds weren't there. the quality and presentations were an art form..even the bread and butter were amazing. So special - queen for a day.... More

I came here with my family to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is elegant and the service is impeccable. I primarily wanted to taste the sea urchin carbonara, which was delicious, but in no way resembled a traditional carbonara. The menu options were enticing but no dish blew any of us away. This place is pricey and not really worth... More

Service was off to start but lovely dining room and extraordinary food made up for the stumble. A complimentary amuse bouche had the intended effect. Wonderfully fresh asparagus soup with poached egg was perfect. Seared sea scallops paired with seared foie gras was outstanding. Lightly smoked duck breast was moist, tender and delicious. We skipped dessert but the pastry chef... More

What a wonderful experience. Ate here on 5/30/15 for lunch and had the prix fixe menu. What a great deal. The first impression was this lovely, elegant room greeted by a very friendly gentleman who turned out to be the owner. We were served by Miguel, who couldn't have been more attentive. Everything from the amuse bouche to the bread... More

what a wonderful restaurant for special occasions! Food was excellent and provided great range for those dieting and those splurging. We had fish, pork, duck - all delicious - and the desserts (my litmus test) were yummy. Tables were well spaced, the decor is very nice (not memorable) and the service was both friendly and professional. We thought we knew... More

My Mom and I dined here for a late Saturday lunch (2pm). We had the $29 Prix Fixe menu. It was wonderful! And the staff was also wonderful. So accommodating and down-to-Earth. We had a glorious meal and a very relaxing experience. Thank you to all the staff! We will be returning the next time we are in NYC.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
