Had a delightful dinner with excellent and (handsome) server, Uri. My favorites of the night= the beef carpaccio and the Bayreuther Zwick'l Kellerbier. This is the most comfortable dinner I can remember featuring excellent ingredients, masterfully prepared, and professionally served- all the while genuine and high-touch. Many thanks to Sam, the managing partner, for stopping by to say hello and... More

The waiters are so much more than warmly welcome: they can give very insightful advice on food, wine and everything. Just let them guide you and you'll have a great experience!

Somewhere we have previously loved but not so impressed this time.Seated in a very crowded area.Wedged side by side behind our table. Our server couldn't hear us above the high level of noise. That said the food was good.Excellent oysters, skate and USQ banana tart.Shame the jurancon wine(THE PERFECT MATCH) is no longer available by the glass at the USQ.It is at the... We had a meal here during our honeymoon in NYC. We wanted someone special and tried Gramercy Tavern and could not get in. Here was 2nd choice due to connection with GT. The meal was very nice, we could not fault the food, wine or the service however it was very expensive for what it was. We paid $230 for... More

I never ate here when I lived in NYC. I heard it may be closing, so I made it a point of having dinner here. After hearing how amazing it is for years, I was sorely disappointed. The menu was tired and staid - service was not so great either. I was expecting a more creative menu and better service,... More

Ok u didn't get to actually eat because as we sat down and took our first sip of gin I was struck with a stomach virus. Andrew actually took my arm and helped me get out of the restaurant. Got me outside and went in for a chair. Cheryl came out with water and stayed with me until my wife... More

My husband, son and I went to the Union Square Café for the first time on New Years Eve. My son lives in Brooklyn and we were spending six days in the city, visiting him, going to the theatre and celebrating my birthday, as usual. For our appetizers, my husband had the Fried Calamari, my son had the Marinated Beets,... More

At the Union Square Cafe, a saintly friend had snagged me a reservation and staked me to dessert. I know it's rude to torture people with tales of great food that you've eaten and they haven't. I know it's especially rude if you're not getting paid to do it. So I'm not going to go on about the delicate oceanic... More

Stopped in for brunch by myself and took a seat at the bar. The place was already lively at 11:30. bartender was wonderfully attentive and my meal, pasta with guanciale and brussell sprouts was delicious. Wines by the glass are pricey, but overall an excellent meal. The menu was diverse with some interesting options. Would definitely recommend.

A great choice for a meal with friends & family. Everyone enjoyed their food & shared with one another. Service was great as was lively atmosphere. Cost for 4 adults & 3 kids for lunch - $240 including tip. Worth it.
