We visited Blue Hill on the first night of our honeymoon after travelling from Australia and everything was perfect. The food is phenomenal and staff are very knowledgable about how the food is farmed and produced. We learnt of Blue Hill through Chef's Table on Netflix and Chef Dan Barber's mission for sustainable farming is of significant interest to us... More

My wife was celebrating a significant birthday. We had heard about this restaurant from the Chef's Table show on Netflix. Firstly the atmosphere was great. You go down some steps from street level and can imagine what the place might have been like in its former incarnation as a speakeasy. The service was fantastic. Our server Oliver explained the menu... More

Service was excellent and the atmosphere was really pleasant. The food was good but nothing I haven't seen before. The farm to plate concept is extremely common in Ireland so perhaps it's more impressive for others.

Our experience far exceeded already lofty expectations. The ingredients and care put into each dish was evident from the first course, while the very knowledgeable service staff delivered a dining experience that was top notch. We had previously watched Chef Dan Barber on Chef's Table and took a 10pm seating reservation to ensure we experienced he and his staff's approach... More

To sit through a tasting menu as a solo diner is not easy but Blue hill and their team made it a wonderful experience. The service was first rate. The food was wonderful. They gave me an extra course after I mentioned that I was keen to try one of the items on the a la carts menu. This is... More

Last year Blue Hill was one of the places that really impressed upon me the importance of using quality ingredients, vegetables, meats, etc. Came back and nice to see that standard still upheld. Not quite as good as last time but still superb. We opted for the regular prix fixe menu so we could try different things. Everything was great... More

Made a reservation at Blue Hill after hearing about the Chef's work in sustainable farming. We have been to upscale restaurants but rarely has the experience been so much about the food and not the show. Impeccable quality, top notch staff. Food was inventive, fresh, and much of it came from local farms including the one run by the Chef.... More

Hands down one of our best dining experience. The food 5 stars. The service 5 stars. The environment and atmosphere 5 stars. The service 5 stars. Everything was delicious. My wife and I each got the tasting menu and we split the extended farmer's menu as we were not sure we could eat this all. It was a great move.... More

I went with my husband after we were recommended this restaurant by a foodie friend of mine and after having seen the documentary on Netflix "chefs table". Knowing about the philosophy of this restaurant (I think) enables you to enjoy it even more. To start we were presented with spinach, it's disconcerting to be presented with just a couple of... First let me say that the food at Blue Hill is excellent, and the chef is to be commended for an interesting menu and a delicious meal. We made the mistake of visiting with my 17 year old daughter's out of state guests. The restaurant provides a testing menu with 4 course or more and provides a dining experience. Long... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
