Fantastic food and incredible experience

Dinner last night at Blue Hill was as close to perfect as you can get. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. Vegetables have never tasted this good to me having been brought up on canned and frozen stuff. The service was friendly, attentive and caring. The surroundings were calm... read more

Elegantly simple, deviously understated, and delicious, delicious, delicious. It's all about fresh here, with ingredients still brimming full of nutrients and flavors of the farm. All plates are presented and arranged to be pieces of art. Flavors are rich and full, service is flawless. Anything with a vegetable in it is yummy.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Blue Hill where we celebrated our anniversary. The food was fantastic and the service wonderful. It is a fixed menu where you can get either six courses or four courses. The dining room was very simple but elegant and the true star of this place was the food. We will go back on... More

Made a last minute reservation after watching Netflix series on Dan Brown and the Blue Hill. Very happy to have got a table that very evening. Restaurant space is simple and elegant venue, with white paper on white tablecloths. Menu was similarly simple to negotiate. Had rissoto with clams, fvollowed by pullet egg on a bed of asparagi; free range... More

Blue Hill is one of the best restaurants I've been in my life. The whole experience is wonderful: they have two main menu, according to what's fresh in the season. Then Dan Barber, this great chef, decides what you're going to eat. And, believe me, you're going to expand your food intelligence. Everything was perfect, from the drinks to the... More

This is as charming as it gets. Small restaurant on ground floor of walkup building in Greenwich Village, this restaurant strives for locally owned everything. They have outposts in MA and Upstate NY for obtaining meat and produce. I had the 7-course tasting menu, which was proportioned perfectly! Everything was gorgeously done -- and the service was PERFECT. I cannot... More

This is a wonderful menu, great food and attention to every detail. From start to finish everything was perfect. Small space, tables are close but noise was not a factor. Seats might be a bit tight for some people.

If you have any doubts - don't. The meal was an experience. Who knew fish and strawberries would be delicious. Vegetables not only perfect but pretty as well. Do not get me started on how good the bread was and YES I would sell my first born for it. The future of food. Bloody hope so.

This Michelin rated stop is for the patron that is interested in the balance between the food served, where it came from, the artist that created it, and the educated servers that presented what it was all about and played the role of a conduit carrying all that to you. Our server Mitchel helped us share that experience as a... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
