It may be true that you have to go out of your way to eat a bad Italian meal in Little Italy. We had several great meals at various restaurants there. That said, Da Nico was a standout. The service was amazing, the wine list extensive and not too pricey. The food was simply the best.

From the street, the Da Nico looks classy and inviting. We weren't barraged by overwhelming verbiage in an effort to convince us of their excellence at the entrance, as we had been while slowly passing many of the other restaurant entrances on Mulberry Street. This impressed us and the choice of dining in their outdoor cloister appealed to us. The... More

I highly recommend Da Nico. The restaurant is in the middle of a zillion Italian joints in Little Italy, but seek it out and you will not be disappointed. They have a charming courtyard area that is just lovely if you want an outdoor eating experience away from the street noise. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. Service... More

Our walking tour guide recommended this restaurant in Little Italy on Mulberry St. Everyone in our group loved their meal and we felt like it was actually reasonably priced! Family owned, nice little outdoor patio in back.

On trip to New York, this was the second restaurant that our tour guide suggested we go to. After being somewhat underwhelmed at the Sombrero, we were hoping for a better experience and we got it. Me and my friend had the Home made meat lasagna and it was pretty darn good. My wife had a pizza, can't remember the... More

We visited last Saturday, took my cousin & his GF there for his birthday. The food was very good and the service ok BUT when I produced my AMEX to pay our server returned with the card & said "AMEX machine not working, can't accept" SO i handed over a Visa, he returned with that as well - saying it... I had never been to little Italy and my friend insisted this was the restaurant to try. We were greeted at the front door by two friendly servers, one who was more than happy to take our photo out front and even snap a few of himself. They begged us to sit out front but we chose the garden patio... More

Little Italy is actually just one street in China Town. We considered all the menus offered as we walked. We then picked Da Nico Ristorante as they had a private garden area off the main street. We both had the Lasagna as the baby with us, was tired and no time to really study the menu. It was very good... More

This has been a favorite restaurant for my family for almost 20 years and they have kept the quality up throughout. In Little Italy there are a lot of poor places that focus on pulling you in from the street. Da Nico has great food and lets that speak for itself. I love the small front room and seats on... More
