"Mangia bene" The food was delicious

We stopped by for late lunch early dinner. I ordered the fettuccine w/ porcini mushrooms in garlic and butter. It took me back to the outdoor cafe' in Rome. I had the same meal there. Da Nico is a huge restaurant but that doesn't detract from the quality of food or the service. We had a good meal with great service but there isn't the personal attention you would get with a smaller restaurant. The menu had a good choice of the usual Italian fare at a reasonable price.

After visiting the Tenement Museum yesterday my friends and I walked over to Mulberry Street for shopping and some dinner. Wandering the street we saw that DaNico's has a outdoor patio. What a nice little surprise. So calm and peaceful, one would never think you are in the busy city. Our group of seven were seated quickly and greeted by... More

This nice restaurant has also outside seats at the patio. I recommend you to go there if possible. Waiters act professionally and friendly. We take antipasto: 3 different one and all was good. Some of us order pasta which taste good, but unfortunately two ordered pizza which was awfully. It was cold, I may say: straight from freeze to table... More

We went to Da Nico for a Birthday celebration. It is not really dressy, but not tee shirts and gym shorts either. The food is fresh Italian and fabulous. There are so many specials the waiter had to refer to his smartphone to make sure he did not miss any.

If you walk down Mulberry street and notice Da Nico, you won't have a clue of how good the food is.The salmon melt in your mouth and the veal was just awesome. I was looking for a great Italian restaurant that was affordable and I was well serve. We spend 2 hours eating and chilling without feeling rushed by anyone.... More

The food is very good, we had both the pizza and pasta and they both tasted great. Waiters are friendly and "italian" minded (making jokes etc) You get free bread, cold water AND dumplings as desert, wow! Drinks are not too expensive, $3.5 for soda. We paid les than $50 with 2 persons, tip incl. We would go there again... More

A friend of ours chose this restaurant in little Italy on our last trip to New York. He made a great choice! From the outside this is just a little storefront but the place is surprisingly big inside. Tables are close together and atmosphere is lively. Old school Italian Food was amazing. I had a delicious linguini with clams. Also... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
