Enjoy traditional Northern and Southern Italian cuisine at Da Nico. The beautiful indoor dining room is a favorite among movie stars, New York Yankees and former Mayor Giuliani. The casual, family-friendly atmosphere welcomes you to dine on "The Best Coal Brick Oven Pizza," or one of the delicious items on the menu. Specialties include lobster fra diavolo, baby lamb chops and veal chops. Call for the day's specials. During the summer, Da Nico features a large outdoor garden which doubles its normal seating capacity. Da Nico is also available for your private parties. There are many keys to having a great dining experience. With that in mind, consider Da Nico the master locksmith of Little Italy!

Good food

Visited Da Nico for late lunch. The place do not look too impressing and the service was not overwhelming, but the food was verry good and tasty. One of the best lasagne I have eaten.

Great food, great service and wonderful ambiance. This is the closest you can get to true Italian comfort food on this side of the Atlantic. Get the house special Seafood pasta, it was phenomenal.

I would highly recommend this little hole in the wall as opposed to the larger places you'll see in Little Italy. Impeccable service and great, high quality, delicious food. I will be returning to this gem during every visit to NYC.

Don't expect top-tier service or food from any tourist restaurant and you will probably be fine. This is no exception. Food was pretty good, service was average, prices were not horrible but you could probably do better elsewhere, and atmosphere was OK. But that same description applies to pretty much all Little Italy restaurants. This place is not bad, not... More

Food was very good, but the service wasn't the best. No one was rude, but they seemed very uninterested.

This is my second visit to DaNico's. Was there last summer on vacation in NYC with family. Enjoyed it then, so brought my mom and brother on a weekend getaway. Warm, friendly restaurant, great food, reasonable prices. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone!

When we walked in we were greated with all smiles and welcoming hugs (maybe they knew we were Canadian and love hugs!) the portions were big and the prices were not! I will definitely be back to enjoy the company and the service. Thanks guys!

We went for our 32nd Anniversary last night. The food was as excellent as it has always been. This is my favorite place in Little Italy. (Mulberry Street). I have been here several times over the years. They have never disappointed my expectations. I only wish that we had a place much closer to where we live that made an... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
