Enjoy traditional Northern and Southern Italian cuisine at Da Nico. The beautiful indoor dining room is a favorite among movie stars, New York Yankees and former Mayor Giuliani. The casual, family-friendly atmosphere welcomes you to dine on "The Best Coal Brick Oven Pizza," or one of the delicious items on the menu. Specialties include lobster fra diavolo, baby lamb chops and veal chops. Call for the day's specials. During the summer, Da Nico features a large outdoor garden which doubles its normal seating capacity. Da Nico is also available for your private parties. There are many keys to having a great dining experience. With that in mind, consider Da Nico the master locksmith of Little Italy!

Just OK

A good location in Little Italy, with a cozy outdoor terrace in back. My friend's chicken dish was tough, and mine had a strange taste so I didn't even try to finish it. But they partially redeemed themselves with a complimentary dessert. The people at the next table said their pizza was very... read more

Da Nico is my favorite restaurant in New York's Little Italy. Their food is amazing, their service friendly and attentive and they have a great wine selection. It is a great place for a date or for a group of friends.

My partner and I were walking through Little Italy and decided to stop here for supper. We were escorted to the back of the restaurant, to a little outdoor patio, a great setting for a great meal. The service and food were both impeccable. Would recommend for a nice meal.

Sister and I vacationing in NYC wanted to see Little Italy and get real Italian food. She ordered chicken Parm and I ordered veal saltimbocca. I ordered a Pinot noir which was good. The chicken dish was good until a black hair was discovered which grossed us out. My veal was ok with a lot of spinach and what looked... More

We visited recently with my wife and daughter and had a great experience. The terrace was full when we arrived, so we were invited to the bar whilst waiting for a tabe to come available. The staff made a fuss of us and and we had a great laugh around the bar talking to them. Our table came available and... More

We stopped by for late lunch early dinner. I ordered the fettuccine w/ porcini mushrooms in garlic and butter. It took me back to the outdoor cafe' in Rome. I had the same meal there. My guest had calamari fra diavolo and veal sorrentini. Very reasonable prices. If you can go to the patio in the back of the restaurant.... More

Da Nico is a huge restaurant but that doesn't detract from the quality of food or the service. We had a good meal with great service but there isn't the personal attention you would get with a smaller restaurant. The menu had a good choice of the usual Italian fare at a reasonable price.

After visiting the Tenement Museum yesterday my friends and I walked over to Mulberry Street for shopping and some dinner. Wandering the street we saw that DaNico's has a outdoor patio. What a nice little surprise. So calm and peaceful, one would never think you are in the busy city. Our group of seven were seated quickly and greeted by... More

This nice restaurant has also outside seats at the patio. I recommend you to go there if possible. Waiters act professionally and friendly. We take antipasto: 3 different one and all was good. Some of us order pasta which taste good, but unfortunately two ordered pizza which was awfully. It was cold, I may say: straight from freeze to table... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
