Equally as distinctive as the main dining room, The Lounge offers the same service and cuisine as our main dining room. Complete prix-fixe and tasting menus are available, along with à la carte options not available in our dining room. Savor an imitable fine dining experience or drop in for an appetizer, cocktail, or a late night dessert with Champagne.

My family recently enjoyed a meal at Daniel to celebrate my father's 65th birthday and it was an absolutely stellar experience. We had a 7-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Each course was more delicious than the last and my only complaint is that I wanted more of both the lobster tail and the melon trio (though, by course 5... More

I enjoy the atmosphere in this restaurant and service was acceptable. I am fortunate to dine at restaraunts of the highest level in France and judge my experience at Daniel in contrast. Meals were okay; although, sea bass was a bit over cooked. This was our third time here and it was the best.

Been Here Three times always excellent. Ample portions, never fussy or snobby service. Absolutely amazing ambiance. Outstanding, food and a bonus you get to see Mr. Bolud overseeing everything like an orchestra conductor.

This is, for me, "Le Chef". After Bocuse and Laurent and Troigros, Daniel (the Truffle man) is holy. Vive Le Chef!!!

Enjoyed this restaurant in connection with a wedding I performed there. The food for the reception was wonderful -- and they are known for their seafood. No disappointments, and we all ordered from the menu. They've got it all!

One of New York's best. Food and service are excellent and no one wears jeans. Service is excellent as you would expect and the food is amazing and the wine list is also excellent. Not for those who like the Capital Grille or big flashy steak houses that serve you obscene amounts of food.

Everything was perfect. The food, the decor, the service! The best meal ever! I can't imagine a better gastronomic adventure. From the first cocktail to the espresso all was superb!

We order the tasting menu and pairing of wine and really enjoy our food. Meticulously well develop dishes pair up with top of the notch wines from all over the world, very fresh and tasty. The service is everything that you expected to be in this kind of upscale restaurant. Is a New York classic.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
