Absolutely Devine Food and Very Good Service

As always, I like to start with the disclaimer that my husband and I are food snobs, Michelin Star fanatics, who settle for nothing less than excellence when it comes to dining experiences that are meant to dazzle the palate, and Daniel did not disappoint. A business trip to New York coincided with my partner's birthday, and a long-awaited chance to visit Daniel. Booked a 7.45 table one month before, as instructed, and turned up on the evening excited, but with a little part of me wondering whether it could possibly live up to its reviews, on this site as well as many others. I... More

As someone who is passionate about food and drink, I am never happier than when trying out a new restaurant and Daniel was quite possibly heaven to me. I travelled to New York with 2 friends and we had agreed before we went that we would have one all out meal so after much research, we decided on Restaurant Daniel.... More

I was here with my girlfriend in October last year. There was no table available but the very polite staff has asked us if we wanted to have a drink at the bar while we were waiting. After 20 minutes we were seated at a lovely table near the window. The food was excelent and to our suprise they did... More

Generally the word fun and French Restaurant are not included in the same sentence but last night we had a ball at Daniel in NYC. The staff kept us in stitches and well informed on the menu and what we were being served. Needless to say the food was excellent and timely. Waiters were there when you needed them and... More

Made a quick dinner at the bar out of 3 appetizers. Sybaritic, sublime, and nuanced flavor. The most delicious food I have eaten in NYC in the past year. The service is impeccable, anticipating our needs and serving a flawless meal while not being a bit stuffy. The waiter seemed dedicated to us. I can't wait to see what they... More

Like many, I had heard wonderful things about Daniel. My boyfriend and I recently celebrated a special ocassion at Daniel and we were not dissappointed. Upon entering the restaurant, the staff was very attentive. Our meal included the chilled Shigoku Oysters. They were good however, I was not a fan of the fennel mousseline. The Aleppo seed crusted sea scallops... More

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
