This was our first visit to this renowned restaurant and we were giddy with excitement. We had to resort to the hotel concierge to secure reservations as I could not on my own. The service at this restaurant was impeccable. There was a certain precision and professionalism that I had not experienced at any other restaurant in the US. The... More

You will miss out if you don't visit this restaurant. I booked several months in advance, which is clearly mandatory if you want a table, and it was worth it in every way. The service, wine and food was faultless and nothing was too much trouble for the service team. I guess this is to be expected for the prices... More

Service and experience was 5*. Ambiance was as expected, high end and stuffy. Food, some hits some 'misses'. I put quotation marks on misses b/c even the misses at Daniel are good, just not great. Scallops, Swordfish excellent. Lamb bland. Dinner was $800 for two w wine. Worth it? The experience yes, the food, maybe. I'm a tough critic who... More

We were escorted through the unassuming yet elegant entrance to the most beautiful dining room. The food, service and wine recommendations were exceptional. This is human sophistication at its best. Frock up.

We had dinner at Daniel in New York City recently to celebrate our 50th anniversary and it was fantastic, as usual. The staff was very attentive and could not do enough for us.The food, as always, was excellent. The atmosphere is also very pleasing, beautiful room and quiet enough so that everyone could have a normal conversation. Daniel is positive... More

Service, atmosphere and the restaurant was top notch. But the food was a tad boring and tasteless. I like classics but here i think they focused more on the whole package and looks than the taste. A shame actually since with vry good food here this would be quite an experince, Will not return.

Daniel NYC is by far one of the best, if not the best restaurant in the city. From the moment you walk in you are amazed by the atmosphere. All of the food is a true work of art and tastes incredible. It is a very pricey restaurant, but it's worth every penny.

WOW WOW WOW just about sums it up. Class all the way and sublime in every way. I dined here solo and the staff made me feel so comfortable and at ease as they showcased what can only be described as perfection on a plate. Every course was amazing with incredible attention to detail and presented with care and passion.... More

The décor is rich and tasteful - beautiful flowers everywhere and the lighting is just right. The food is out of this world, I had the Paupiette of Black Sea Bass, sea bass wrapped in a thin layer of potato...Wow! Paired with the perfect wine and an equally amazing amount of ambiance.

The expectations were high and this restaurant unfortunately did not meet those highs!! Firstly, the atmosphere was very stuffy and formal. Felt slightly uncomfortable and you also have to wear a jacket! But more disappointing was the food - the presentation was very old fashioned and looked like something that was served at top end restaurants years ago - this... More
