If you are interested to burn $300 or more per person this is the place for you. Crowded with middle aged people and foreigners who may dine there so that they can simply... more

Exceptional experience from start to finish. Wear a jacket, dress up, and get ready for a high level dining adventure. We had the six course tasting menu, plus wine (a glass for each course), and were basically blown away. It actually ends up being 10 courses, since they give you three amuse bouche and an extra dessert when we mentioned... more

We had an evening reservation at Daniel booked to celebrate our wedding in Central Park. We were ready for a once-in-a-lifetime experience that was promised. Daniel did not disappoint us. From the moment we entered we were enchanted by the elegant space, beautiful décor and art work within the main body of the restaurant. White columns, fulsome, colorful bouquets of... more

I had not seen my New Yorker cousin in 10 years; so, I was excited at his suggestion we meet up at a Daniel Boulud restaurant. It was an elegant (but not stuffy) venue for a small family gathering. Each of us chose the three course menu. Three out of four of us were very happy with our selections. We... more

Frank Bruni of the New York Times has rated only 5 restaurants in this venerable city 4 stars, Daniel being one of them. Given our recent mediocre experience at this restaurant (7/9/09), I think he should consider conducting an updated review. This restaurant really fell short on every front. The white walls, creme shaded chandeliers, and paper collage influenced art... more

I ate at Daniel 3rd of July as part of celebrating my 30th birthday in New York. I am used to eating out at nice restaurants and happily spend money for a dining experience. Now for restaurant Daniel. We reserved a table one month ahead and got a table in the sofa part facing the rest of the room. It... more

I do not understand how this restaurant can get away with terrible food, tiny portions, and high prices. I was there with my wife last Saturday night for dinner. She ordered the Chilean sea bass which looked like two pieces of burnt bacon. She said it was inedible. I had the beef, which was okay, but served in a portion... more

Food is not bad but the tasting menu portion maybe a little bit too small for guys. However good for ppl on diet but want some gourmet once a while. But I still like "The Modern" better more
