We love food, and have been on a recent binge of nicer places in NYC. Although Daniel did not disappoint, it wasn't perfect or good enough that we want to return. The restaurant is roomy with tons of space between tables, by far more space than any other finer restaurant we've visited recently. The service seemed choreographed and was very... More

We came early and had drinks at the bar. Tony was absolutely a perfect host. Every drink he created was delicous. The White Cosmo is a must try. We then had the 4 course dinner. Everything was more than what we expected. The level of service the restaurant and its employees offer is not seen much anymore. They truely make... More

We were fortunate to get a reservation at this Relais Chateau, 2 Star Michelin restaurant for our 25th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, we were exposed to a once in a lifetime culinary experience. We opted for the 3 course tasting. The sommelier Garret took the time to ask us about the profiles... More

There is no finer dining than Daniel. From the moment you walk in you are treated like royalty. The food matches the service. Never pretentious and always gracious. I love this restaurant!

Tonight my husband and I visited Restaurant Daniel in NYC, to celebrate our 30 anniversary. And what an evening it turned out to become! From the minute we walked in that door, we knew that dining would never be the same again. The amuse bouche, the red mullet, scallops, boef and suckling pig - everything was out of this world!... There is little to say beyond proclaiming this the best in NYC. Food, service, atmosphere ...... just perfect. And if you happen to get to meet Daniel himself you'll be amazed by how great a guy he is. We celebrated our special anniversary at Daniel with another couple and had the most wonderful dinner.

It's been a while since my visit, but it was fantastic. We went for our 3rd wedding Anniversary and all I can say if you want to be wined and dined well that's the place. Loved every minute of it. Would love to go back soon. The food was all fantastic I can't say what was good or bad. It... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
