Allen S must have been recognized as a critic or reviewer. We were treated like we were not event there. Sat in bar waiting for our table. Table in bar was not cleaned and our drink order was ignored. They offered us a complimentary glass of champagne when we were finally seated to make up for it. We accepted. But... More

I brought my parents here for their anniversary and they loved it. Friendly staff, good food, nice drinks, and a nice fancy atmosphere. The food and drinks are pricy and the portions are pretty small. Will go back!

This is easily one of the best meals that I have ever had. Every course came out and was better than the last. The suckling pig and the beef duo were standouts, but nothing was less than excellent. The wine list is world class and there are lots of fun choices. Service was perfect! Each staff member is expertly trained... More

This is quite a late review as we visited in January 2013. Had high expectations and although we had a lovely experience I left a little disappointed. Service was excellent, ambience excellent. I was just left feeling a little flat about the food. We probably should have opted for the tasting menu (and if we return we will) but being... More

I brought my mum here as part of a surprise trip to NYC for her Birthday this yeawr. I chose Daniel based on TripAdvisor reviews and man, am I ever glad I did. Best. Meal. Of. My. Life. We had 5 courses with pairings and there was not one thing I would've changed. Everything was above top notch, from the... More

This is what fine dining is. Immaculately crafted food, beautifully presented and served. Everything is perfect. Amuses bouche that build complexities of flavor and texture in three tiny mouthfuls, fish and beef that melt in the mouth, sweets that do not cloy but refresh. Go, perhaps only the once, but go.

The food ranged from good to great, though none blew my mind. Perhaps I'd set myself up for failure with my expectations. The dining room is beautifully decorated, a lesson in simplicity and elegance. Service was fine and on the whole pretty good, however our waiter needs to learn to listen to our response when he asks a question. We... More

We celebrated my dad's 70 birthday and it was great! We loved every thing. The restaurant manager knew it was my dads bday and we got a special treat. Just thinking about it makes me want to be there again. It's pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

We somehow managed to get a table at Daniel at relatively short notice and I'm certainly glad we did. Daniel Boulud sadly lost one of his Michelin stars for this restaurant and now has only two but there is still such high demand for tables here that there is at least a six week wait for a 7.30 on a...
