I went for lunch solo while in town for a conference. I tried several dishes with suggested wine pairings & greatly enjoyed myself. It was a bit pricey, but I don't mind paying for a great meal with great service. I plan on returning next time when I'm in the area.

When we walked into Restaurant Daniel on 65th Street about 10 minutes late for our 5:30 reservation and our table wasn't ready, we were frankly puzzled. Why take a reservation, when you are not opening the dining room for 15 minutes? But the minute we looked at the menu and discovered a delightful non-alcoholic mixed drink (Hampton Bays), we knew... Very nice and fancy food, with nice wine pairings. Good price (for the level of food), attentive staff, but at this price for 3 wine pairing a single refill of wine should not have to be asked for. Males must wear jacket…but we were lucky, that our son 15 year old son could borrow one (shirt and bowtie was not... More

It was with tremendous anticipation hat we went to Daniel as the creme de la Creme of our NYC 3-day dining tour. We were not disappointed but there were just a few criticisms. We had a 915 reservation which was great because we'd eaten so much for lunch that day. The restaurant is very pretty and the staff friendly. We... More

Great experience in an iconic New York restaurant. While it may be showing its age, it still lives up to its reputation for excellent service, gastronomical feats that you will not find everyday and a room that is transportative.

This was a special b-day dinner splurge and we chose Daniel's before heading to see the Bolshoi ballet; another incredible event! We had an unforgettable experience at Daniels's from the lovely ambience, the staff's generosity, and the spectacular food. I am stunned by the subpar reviews as my experience was so wonderful. I found the wait staff to be kind... More
