My my wife was attending a medical conference, and my daughter could come in from Copenhagen and the two of us wanted A special dinner. The problem was it was 8 o'clock on Thursday night and we were in the 60s. My wife and I love the Daniels and has eaten there for five times but always with advance reservation.... More

We just have to say, the service in this place is remarkable. The servers are amazingly attentive, knowledgeable and accomodating. From the greetings at the door to the farewell at the end, we felt so pampered and taken care of. We had so many waiters that watched over our table at any time, but our main waiter was so funny... My first impression of this restaurant was the warm welcome. The food was superb and I would rate it as one of the best meals I have ever had. The presentation was stunning and the service was impeccable. I also loved the ambience. I chose the three course fixed price menu which had a huge choice built in. I don't... More

Lovely "special occasion" place. Had the tasting menu with minor accommodations, which they were happy to make. Long wait between courses made it a very long evening, which detracted from the enjoyment. Courses ranged from spectacular to "just okay." Worth trying once.

Perhaps one of my top five meals of all time. Service was perfect as was the presentation. Glad to hear that they have opened a sister restaurant in Boston at the Mandarin. Looking forward to trying it soon. Enjoy.

First time there was on Friday, August 8, 2014. Our group of 6 persons were foodies and not foodies alike. The non-foodies loved the atmosphere; elegant, tranquil, with excellent attention and helpfulness to explain the menu and the dishes. The foodies were all about the food and wine. Myself, a foodie, I really enjoyed the appetizer, main dish and the... More

My wife and I had great expectations of Daniel. .after reviewing it, we waited until the exact 30 days prior to book online. It did not disappoint..on the contrary, one of the best dinner we have had so far. Reasonable prices for what you will be served, wine list is also fair. Hot madeleines after dessert are a huge surprise.... More

great mea, amazing service . my only issue is that having recently been in Paris in 2 2 star Michelin, i found these to be quite superior . but as far as top restaurants in Nyork, certainly it is rated where it belongs, close to the top !

As usual the food was excellent. But service was unbecoming of any fine restaurant, and by far not to the standards of my previous visits to this same restaurant. Upon arrival I was warmly received and promptly seated by the reception staff. So far so good. But then I waited and waited and waited, and then waited some more before... More

We've been to Daniel last December, and there was absolutely nothing we could possibly complain about. The food was great, and so was the service, and the venue is really nice to see! I will definitely go back once in NYC!
