Thin crust with so many different toppings. Atmosphere and service great, too! Proper restaurant surrounding great for families.

This was my first trip to New York City. I have heard for several years now great New York pizza was and finally had the opportunity to try it! John's Pizzeria came highly recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great pizza (just be... More

This place was recommended to us by one of the men working on the Staten Island Ferry. It is for sure a tourist draw and it is big and noisy with lots of kids. The food was great for sure! A few weird things though, we ordered a salad, a pasta dish and a pizza and requested that they all... More

We all love thin-crust pizza out of a stone oven, so this was a great place for us to eat. And very conveniently located - unfortunately with large crowds around it. There are more outlets of this pizza place; should you find yourself in New Jersey, don't miss out to go and enjoy the outdoor seating there.

We just were hungry for some pizza and figured that we'd just go to the place where I always used to commute. Don't let the small door outside fool you for the ambiance that they have on the inside. It is an old church that has been converted to a pizzeria. It's something that you would not expect when you... More

I can't say anything bad about this place. Good pizza, good beer, good service, good price. Everything is awesome! We went twice on this visit.

I found out about this restaurant by chance through an advert on the back of a free map of NYC and read up on Trip Advisor about it before going. It's in a great central location near Times Square. It looks not that impressive from the outside but opens uop into a huge hall with great murals that creates a... More

Had the margarita pie. Just ordinary. Crust soft on bottom and not very thin. For coal fired pizza Grimaldi's or Anthony's much better. John's just not worth the high price.

Friends recommended this as a place with good pizza, fast service and close to the theater district with reasonable prices. Right on all of the above. The salads and appetizers looked unappealing - iceberg lettuce etc. but the pizza was delicious. We had Hawaiian - not too much sauce, chewy thin crust, just right cheese and toppings.
