Family dinne

We celebrated a 60 wedding anniversary. The service was great, and we had a private table upstairs. The noise level was to loud, but everything else was great. We couldn't do separate checks per each family, and that was a problem but we enjoy the food.

First, beware that this is a tourist trap. Second, do not come here if you are in a rush. I ordered a pizza and asked how long it would take. The waitress replied 30 minutes. I asked, are they backed up in the kitchen? To which she replied, no it takes thirty minutes to cook a pizza. While I'm no... More

Pizza and a salad perfect pre matinee fare. Noisy but fun and no pretense - just pies. Wash it down with a cold beer and what's better. Our favorite pizza spot in nyc. Warning- I can get crowded so try to come early or in between shows. Worth the wait at the bar.

some of the best pizza in NYC and the line proves it. Get a slice and you will see. slices are large and worth it. If you have people then get a full pie

Pizza was very good ... a bit pricey, but that's understandable given the location in the theater district. The crust was nice and crisp, and the basil added quite a bit. The small pizza is plenty for two people.

Recommended by our hotel staff and they got it right. Super crowded though so expect to wait, it's worth it. We just had the cheese pizza and shared it and it was plenty for 2. They bake in a brick oven which really makes it good and the cheese and sauce were awesome.

Ate here twice this week. The first time we had pizza and it was so good. Light crust and great sauce. The second time we are pasta which was nothing special. Our waiter was really odd too. Lacked attention and not on the mark as far as following up.

Family of 4 had dinner for under $50 - which is a feat in NYC for a sit down place. The pizza is the best I've ever had - don't miss the garlic rolls either. Fantastic place for pre-show dinner - but it does fill up quickly.

My wife and I have made it a tradition to visit John's every time we come up to New York for a few days to stay in the Times Square area. We love the pizza and enjoy the wonderful pasta dishes. Living in Virginia, it is a place where we can come and know we'll get an outstanding New York... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
