This is always my first food stop when I get to NY. I love their calamari and of course the pizza is delicious.

Ate at John's Pizza during our vist to NYC. The pizza is made in a coal fired oven and was delicious. The beer selection was good and it was reasonably priced,(at least for NYC). We really enjoyed the huge mural on the wall and the stain glass windows on the ceiling. It gave the restaurant a very cool feel. We... More

I have been coming to John's every time I come to NYC; it really is a ritual for me! Not only is the restaurant beautiful (it's an old church) but the food is always quick and tasty and the service is classic NYC - with a smile, begrudgingly! The pizza's are huge and their marinara sauce is lip smackingly good!... More

The atmosphere was happy and moving around. The place was packed with families, tourists and locals. We were a bit disappointed in the pizza. The crust was crispy, the sauce and cheese were good but the toppings were scattered, not much at all. We had a 2 topping pizza, one meat and one veggie. For the price of the the... More

Had a 20 minute wait at 7pm on a Tuesday (staffer said 45 so that was fine)...the large pizza was more than enough for two, and we were under an a/c vent so it went cold quite quickly...however, it was delicious and very reasonably priced for this area.

John's is a small chain. Their pizzas are delicious - made in coal-fired brick ovens. The atmosphere is a little down market but the pies and service are GREAT! Really good value. A large pizza serve 3 people easily. we went for 2 mediums so we could vary the toppings. Both really good - wth no leftovers. the Caeser salad... More

Whenever I am in NYC, I have to go to John's and get the margherita pizza! It's my favorite pizza in the world. The building itself is really cool, too.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel so this was right up the street, the pizza And meals are absolutely delicious and so is the service. We sat at the bar because we weren't planning on staying! Not only did we drink and eat then....but went back after some sightseeing for round two! Our bartender was great. By New York standards... More

We ate here twice during our trip. Both times we went it was busy. on the first night we had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated (about 8:30pm) and sat downstairs, where it was very lively. on the second visit we had no wait but ate earlier (about 6pm) as we had a show booked, on this visit we...
