One of the worst dining experiences of my life. 6 of us went here for my parents' 40th anniversary and they kept serving my brother after we had finished each course. He got his oysters very late and then his t-bone came out 15 min after the rest of us got our food - he ordered medium and it was... more

With its handy address near the huge Marriott Marquis and all the theaters on the block, this restaurant has location going for it. It's upstairs, but the narrow old entry staircase gives the experience some quirky if shabby charm. But that's it. Beyond that it is very expensive, and extremely small with crowded table placement. My son was repeatedly bumped... more

Visited this so called BEST STEAK HOUSE IN NEW YORK on 4th March 2008. What a joke a rip off. Would advise visitors to New York to look else where. There were four of us . Two ordered sirloin steaks another just a bowl of soup and I had a T-Bone steak . You get no veg or potatoes with... more

Where do I start, first the waiter had no idea of the portion size of the steak, his best guess was a pound or two. Second, I set near the door where the waiters stood, a large amount of time was spent anaylizing what the attractive women ordered and pondering what they could do with that...to top it off medium... more

This was our second visit to F & J's for dinner on Christmas Eve, also went in 2005. We ate at the 45th Street location both times. Yes, it's upstairs, yes it's tiny, but that's the character of the place. We made a reservation a week in advance for 6:00pm dinner on Christmas Eve. There were two other tables seated... more

Had dinner with a party of 4 adults. No reservation on a Saturday night and they still managed to get us a table within 50 minutes. They directed us to a bar across the street, Garvey's Pub, just off the lobby of the Milford Plaza Hotel, where we had a few drinks till the table was ready. Bar was crowded,... more

We had reservations here during Restaurant Week and were hesitant about keeping them, after I read the bad reviews. We did keep them and we were glad! The food was excellent and the service was very good. We also enjoyed the free limo ride! more

My mother and I ate at this restaurant on our first night in NYC. We were staying in the Theatre District and wanted someplace close to the theatre. We were skeptical after reading some reviews but the food was DELICIOUS and the best we had in NYC. Being from New Orleans, we are very picky food eaters! We both had... more
