Description: Located in New York's landmark Helmsley Building, Bobby Van's Steakhouse has been serving the best porterhouse in town for the last eleven years. Upon entering, one is greeted with the sight of a credenza groaning under the weight of large bottles of wine. A bar full of regular customers is on the left and looking into the one-hundred seat dining room, one sees the thirty foot high ceiling and windows overlooking Park Avenue. To complement our Prime Aged Steaks our Sommelier has created an award winning wine list. Whether you're looking for a big Cabernet, a Pinot Noir or something in between our comprehensive list is sure to please. "

I've been in NY several times and was a kind of traditional going always to the same steak houses. One day trying to scape from a heavy rain, I found the best steak house of NY. Very classy, with the best service ever, the meat melts in your mouth. Perfectly cooked, good options of sides and fair price. Now I... More

Party of six of us. We had business to discuss and asked if they could open up their private room for us, they did so immediately without any fuss or extra charge (we paid $200 the night before at another restaurant for the privilege). Food was 5 stars, as was the attentive but low key service.

Not a bad choice for a business lunch. Entertained a client here recently and it fit all the requirements. Professional waiters, range of food options and tables far enough apart so as not to overhear one another yet the noise in the space was low enough to be easily heard.

Excellent experience and of course the dinner was fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly. If you prefer seafood, I recommend the scallops and salmon. You can't go wrong.

Noisy, crowded, but the food is as promised. We took the "restaurant week" dinner of 38$ and it was generous and tasty. Service very attentive and fast. Baked clams, medallions of beef bordelaise, variety of breads and key lime pie, classic steakhouse menue at its best.

I was in town traveling from the DC area celebrating my 5th anniversary. I normally go to Ruth Chris however u wanted to try something different. A friend recommended this restaurant and location so I tried it out. The service and food was great. The waiter even offered us a restaurant week menu which had more for your money, however... More

I arrived at Bobby Van's on Park Avenue at about 7pm on a Thursday evening and it was at full capacity. I didn't have a reservation but only had to wait about 15 minutes at the bar to get a table. That gave me a chance to soak up the vibrant atmosphere in the place. Although there was a good... More

We had an amazing meal in bobby vans while on a city break in New York. I ordered a sirloin steak which was rather large but very tasty. My boyfriend ordered a T-bone steak which was huge but he said was very good and tasty. We ordered sides of chips and onion rings, which were also very tasty but the... More

Much better than some of the more pretentious steak houses in the city. I usually go to the East 54th Street location but my wife and I tried this location for Valentines Day dinner when the other location was booked. Steak is excellent and service is impeccable. Love the lemon pepper shrimp. They recently took a few of my favorites... More

We come to BV Steakhouse by coincidence, but we were really pleasantly surprised. The food is amazing, the staff also, not to mention their excellent choice of whiskies... We will definitely come back. It is pricey, but worth every $!
