Located on Sullivan Street at the convergence of the West Village and SoHo, Blue Ribbon's bustling dining room and friendly bar have been serving neighborhood regulars and culinary industry insiders since 1992. The Bromberg Brothers' eclectic vision first sprang to life here and has blossomed into an iconic destination known for its late-night dining scene where the country's top chefs congregate and eat after closing their own kitchens. Subdued lighting, red velvet banquettes and mustard hued walls, pristine oysters and countless culinary tales are all well-known trademarks of this, the flagship and original Blue Ribbon.

There's something dreamy about Blue Ribbon. Maybe it's the cozy space with subdued lighting. Maybe it's the discreet, attentive, professional staff. Maybe it's the careful preparation of each dish. All the elements of a lovely evening are in place here. And while tables are separated by mere inches and the noise-level is high, you can focus exclusively on your dinner... More

My wife and I had Saturday night dinner here. The interior is on the dark side and cozy. Service is like a machine. You are seated quickly. You have your drink and dinner orders taken quickly. Your food arrives quickly. You get the check quickly. We were in and out in an hour. My wife and I would have preferred... More

Can't go wrong with this place. Open late but get there early for a table. This is the orginal Blue Ribbon and not much has changed thankfully. Fried chicken is the bomb, catfish great, steak and frites of course amazing. The paella is huge and two can eat it. Love the oyster bar of course

A friend of mine suggested that we meet for a meal earlier on 1/1/16, she hit the nail on the head!!! We both had a bloody Mary and then we went for a bottle (or two) of Barbaresco. A great choice. We shared the marrow bone appetizer and then I had the sweetbreads while she had (her) usual fried chicken... More

We sat at the bar and met many people who are regulars, which is a great sign. We got several recommendations from them, one guy had moved to CA and was back in NY with his family and was craving the fish soup so he snuck away and had a night out on his own at his favorite spot -... More
