Excellent but Expensive!

Went with my husband and two sons (17 & 12). Our meal was $400! The food was superb! Service was excellent. The restaurant was mostly filled with after work business execs. The onion rings are to die for!! Steaks were wonderful and cooked to perfection. The specialty cocktails were... read more

I've been to a lot of nice steak houses in NYC. This one was a disapointment. For $600 we got two Ribeye's and a lobster tail. The steak was nearly tasteless and the lobster was rubbery. The wine was good but only because I picked it! The service was great but could not overcome the poor food. I'd much rather... More

The service--from the front manager visiting our table and having an extended conversation about college football, to the waiter, to the bus staff--all was exceptional. And the food!!! But beware, there is an extra charge for the bone-in selection of steak--which is not mentioned on the menu. The sides are more than plenty for a party of four (we had... More

The restaurant itself was really beuatifull alltough they dimmed the light a bit to much. The food was pricey but really really good (best steak i can remember ). And our waiter was really good, quickly read our wishes, knew everythin about the menu (plus gluten info).

The service and atmosphere there were great, but quite noisy though. The crab cake was superb. I ordered prime strip; quality of the meat was good but too well cooked since I just ordered medium. The prime ribeye and filet for my wife and kids were great. I surely will visit this restaurant again and recommend it.

Quite a bold statement, but the service is first class and the food is superb. We went for our 25th wedding aniversary and Dominic looked after us really well. His knowledge of the menu and wine list was outstanding. We took his recommendations for many of our choices and they were beautifully presented and tasted fantastic.

We try to always dine at a fine steakhouse when traveling Del Friscos has become our go to place in NY. The second floor was managed by Felix who always had things moving fluidly while dealing with a difficult diner. (Exceptional extraction technique) Bryan was our waiter and provided 5 star service the steak was exceptional as were the sides.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
