Great food, hard to justify the price

We were beyond excited to get reservations on a Saturday night somewhat last minute (a couple of weeks before our trip). In all fairness, my anticipation likely created unrealistic expectations. My husband and I were very excited to dine at Nobu in TriBeCa, but we left disappointed. To begin, the hostesses were not very welcoming, they barely greeted us. Despite plenty of available seating for two throughout the restaurant, we were seated at the table against the stone wall(high traffic area) not very intimate. Also, we did not receive fresh... The fish here is excellent. We all had the Chef's Menu which was presented in a very wonderful manner over the course of about 12 flights. There was a small issue with seating initially but this was quickly resolved. I highly recommend for the quality of food and the service.

We really enjoy our evening as we shared many different dishes, combining flavors and textures. Forget about classic sushi, go for the chefs suggestion. Good service, excellent food.

We usually visit Nobu restaurants if there is any in the city we travel and never get dissapointed. The tastes are unblievable you always explore something new. Tuna tacos or Scallops with spinach leaves, tofu and truffle oil and parmesan, anything is an experience combined by the impaccable service.

Advised to try the food in this famous restaurant, we booked a table a couple weeks prior our trip to NYC (recommended because the place is crowded). As huge fans of Japanese food, we all in all enjoyed the dishes served at Nobu (the Sashimis and Sushis are delicious). A couple problems, though: prices are ridiculously high, quantities served are... More

The legend, the chef, the man Nobu himself happened to be at the restaurant the night we were there. Probably made the meal even taste better. We went through a concierge service from a premium credit card company in order to procure a favourable dining time. Highly recommend if you have access to this service as getting a decent dining... Being a Nobu junkie Not usually a fan of branded chain restaurants I make an exception here and am happy to declare myself a Nobu junkie! Always great food, whichever establishment I am in, but on this particular occasion Hudson Street excelled itself. I took a family member with me for her first visit and the staff couldn't have made... More

Came To Nobu TriBeCa for my first time , but have been to many other Nobu locations. This was definitely one of the best. The atmosphere was fantastic, the location downtown in TriBeCa made it even better. The food was top of the line. We ordered. Many appetizers and a couple entrees between the two of us. All the food... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
