Great lunch

We stopped here for lunch. I had the vegetable (squash, beans, onions, etc.) burrito and salad. Both were delicious. My son had the chicken burrito and loved it. Hubby had ABLT (avocado, BLT) and said that it was very good. Service was good and we were not rushed. When visiting our son in the... read more

This was a seriously great meal. The food is colorful and tasty. The atmosphere is crazy with loads of laughing and good music. I had huevos rancheros and my friend had one of the Latin twists on eggs Benedict. Both were tasty and super filling. Highly recommended!!

We went there late, around 11pm. Bar scene looked good, good music and people dancing. We sat outside because you couldn't hear yourself think inside. Staff was very friendly. We had the calamari which was good, and the pork with sweet potato , which was a special. Like I said we knew it was late but if the kitchen is... More

The pork and plantain is absolutely amazing. The tortillas and guacamole are also an unexpected highlight. Frozen margarita pretty sweet but yummy. Nice buzz to the place and excellent service.

They don't accept ressos (at least not for brunch). The best time to come would probably be before 1:30. That's around the time a friend and I got there, on a Sunday and they just happened to have a table left for us. Another two people came in right after us and they were told it would be a 40... New Year’s Day brunch at 4pm? Not many restaurants in Manhattan would be happy to cater for a group of six, hungover and hungry, but Yuca was there to indulge our cravings. Officious service brought us feasts from the Kitchen of Earthly Delights: Crab Cakes Benedictos were fabulous, Yuca Benedictos remained sturdy and tasty under the pressure, and the grilled... More

We have tried ti miss the restaurants around Times square in order to avoid the long queues and similar foods. Just downtown on 1st avenue many good venues can be found but Yuca Bar offers excellent different South American cuisine. The portions were large, the choice fantastic and the service excellent. I can recommend the paella and the sharing mains.... More

We went Friday night, the place is actually small and was very crowded and a lot of noise, this is probably bad for a date but during a Friday night we were expecting what we got, as we were a group of friends. We went to a Latin flavored placed to feel that aliveness with the music, and the chattering, etc.... Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
