Amazing!!!

We visited Ferrara today after a recommendation from a local. We were not disappointed!! We had the peanut butter cannoli, chocolate slice/cake (topped with cherry & cream) and chocolate eclair. The quality of the food was amazing & oh so fresh , though I did find the eclair super sweet. The bakery... read more

Because of the high volume of sales, the desserts on their display shelves are very fresh. It's often filled with tourists who come and browse but do not even bother to sit down for coffee and pastries. Their pastries should be the beautiful gold standard that puts all the other stores to shame. Sadly, it's over commercialized and lacks the... More

We went the week before Christmas. It was damp and chilly, but warm for NYC in the winter. The atmosphere was quaint, the staff friendly. We had snack food and of course dessert. Food was great. Wonderful place to stop for a break

After a long meander around Lower Manhattan, we happened upon Ferrara and went in for a mid afternoon break. Our waiter (I'm afraid I forgot his name) was wonderful and made suggestions for the best items to order. We got a selection for the table and thoroughly enjoyed taking bites of each!

Stopped for dessert after eating dinner down the street. Waiter was great and so were the desserts. The cheesecake is very good. A few of my friends got the sampler and were pleased with all of the choices.

This is a must if visiting little Italy. Friendly atmosphere, great Italian desserts, a bit pricey but worth it for the experience. Everything tasted excellent with the quality for the price.

Everytime I visited New York I saw long queues to Ferrara bakery. This winter it was empty so I gave it a try. The cakes were average and not so fresh. Nothing special. Overpriced.

We stopped here for a quick desert (takeaway). There is a huge selection of cookies, cakes, Canolli, etc. Everything we tasted was very tasty and the coffee was great. recommended for desert.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
