Great pastries in a lovely location

We sat inside for desserts and had the Trio sampler of pastries. Although I had to send back the espresso because it was bitter, the desserts were very tasty and promptly served. A lovely wood paneled room. Very busy and be prepared to wait on a Sunday late afternoon.

Visiting Ferrara's is a must on my list every time I visit NYC, which is a few times a year. I've never been disappointed. The food and coffee are some of the best I've ever had, and the staff are amazing. They make you feel appreciated and add to the overall experience. If you see a line for seating, don't... More

We just stopped in to get bakery items. Italian butter cookies, cannolis were amazing. We took subway to little italy just to pick up these treats. It did not disappoint. Expect it to be busy though. Could get a little crowded, service was good but don't expect a ton of smiles. :)

Stopped by here to get some sweet treats... it did not disappoint. We got some cannolis and fruit tarts and they were amazing! We also got elephant ears and biscotti to go and my mom loved them! Prices are reasonable. If you get them to go, there is a stand up area outside the shop to eat. They also serve... More

I had the sea salt caramel gelato. I have to say it was very good! My only complaint is for $5 I would have expected a bit more in the bowl.

This place came highly recommended by locals, and for good reason! We had a wonderful dessert of hazelnut gelato, canolis, and an assortment of cookies. My fiance, who is Italian, was in love with the cookies. There might be a long line, but it's worth the wait!!!

I'm a displaced Italian. Living in Washington DC, French pastries are not prepared well ... Italian pastries -- save for a cheesecake or cannoli -- are virtually non-existent. So ... I make an occasional pilgrimage to NYC to over-indulge. Ferrara's is the place to go. If you get it to go ... The line will be long ... Order a... More

You will thoroughly enjoy your dessert experience here whether you are Italian or not--being here so close to Easter brought back so many family memories seeing the honey balls and having expresso! We had death by chocolate cake, the biscotti sampler and a gelatto--all very good. The biscotti reminded me of my grandmother as we used to have a "coff... More

We were in NYC for Christmas a while ago and came across this place by accident while we were out walking and braving the freezing weather. Hands down the best tiramisu I've ever tasted, if you are in town, do not let this place skip your list!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
