Great little spot for dessert and coffee!

While exploring what's left of Little Italy, we stopped here for a coffee and dessert. I had their tiramisu! It was delicious!

Well, everything LOOKS great but taste terrible. At least this was our togo experience. We ordered Tiramasu and a napoleon. Bother were soggy and just not tasty at all. The gelato looked good but we did not try that unfortunately. Exciting place to be but the dessert was not good...

Touristy spot with famous pastries and a distinct American-Italian vibe. Go for the Lobster Tail while you're there, it may cost you a year of your life, but it's well worth it. Staff are doing a lovely job considering they're being overrun by gaping tourists.

We read the great reviews and decided not to miss the cannoli experience at Ferrara's.Cannoli are a new experience for us. Perhaps cannoli are supposed to have a stale tasting, dry, floury pastry and a filling the texture of rather dried out toothpaste without the mint but with a flavour that suggested plaster dust had been added to the mix?... We only stopped in for dessert and got cannolis and an eclare. All were amazing! The filling in each was very good and was a perfect consistency.

Nice ambient and treats, but I can get better at home. Little Italy is a 'bit' of a tourist trap. Go to Brooklyn if you want the Italian Spirit and culture of NYC.

This is one of those touristy places, but well worth it! Although, while we were in line we chatted it up with a couple of locals. We had canolis and cheesecakes. My husband, who is Italian, grew up eating canolis that his grandmother made and gave the canolis at Ferrara's a thumbs up! There could be a long wait depending... More

Great place for an Italian pastry, gelato is good but not great. Touristy and fun to visit. Suggested for the experience.

Very authentic and anything you try is great. Get the assorted play and you'll get to try multiple pastries. Service is really good.

We enjoyed the cannoli and gelato at this cafe. The cafe is not hard to find in Little Italy because of the decor outside.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
