Worth the wait!

Yes there's always a long line and wait but from the coffee to the pastry, everything is worth it! Get the Baba Ricotta. It's decadently delicious.

This place has it all... it is smallish, but if weather cooperates and crowd doesn't you can "lean on the building" and have an espresso outside. The whole range of Italian Sweets are on hand, including Gelato. This was our first visit, but we will be back.

Amazing cannoli's and I am a stickler for cannoli's. It's either not good or amazing to me. Also love they sold Perugina Baci italian chocolates there. My favorite!

I've been to some Italian bakeries that would overload the senses with the sights and smells of fresh bread, pastries, cakes and cookies. This is a very small place with a limited selection. The Italian cookies are good but expensive- $14/lb. The biscotti is excellent. Full size and mini cannolis are offered with a nice selection of flavors: original, choc/choc,... More

My, oh My! Wear your fat pants and don't deny yourself these amazing desserts. We were lucky enough to eat at Ferrara's Bakery twice!!! The first time, we had just walked out of China Town towards Little Italy. We had never been to Little Italy and had no idea what to expect. As soon as we saw the line entering... More

Nice stop in Little Italy if you are craving ice cream. They have limited flavours but they are all very tasty.

A long time ago our office would order special occasion items from the bakery. Decades later as a visitor to NYC I stopped in one morning. It was breakfast time but I skipped and went right to the sweets. My server, demonstrated her talent by recommending the sampler so that I could mix and match. She checked in regularly. The... More

I go here religiously whenever I am in New York and it never lets me down! This is by far one of the best Italian bakeries out there with the most amazing and decadent desserts you have ever tasted in your life. I personally recommend the chocolate dipped cannoli however everything I have tried from there has been amazing. This... More

This was my second time to Ferrara's. The quaint cafe and bakery makes me feel like I am back in Italy . The food is good but the service is over the top. The gentleman that was our waiter ( wish I'd gotten his name) was so attentive and caring it made the whole experience exceptional. The arugula balsamic prosciutto... More

We visited this cafe twice, once on our first day in NYC for a sit in coffee, mini selection of pastries and an Oreo gelato. All were delicious and the waitress read our minds and bought over two spoons and two forks so that we could share. Our second visit we got take out espresso and large cannolis for our... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
