Description: Just blocks away from Manhattan's lively Union Square, our third New York location provides a warm and vibrant setting for our award-winning authentic Mexican cuisine. Designed by David Rockwell and launched in October 2005, this stunning restaurant features architectural accents inspired by the late, famed Mexican architect, Luis Barragan. The internally illuminated electric-blue tiled water wall features cliff diver figurines and candles among the cascading water to separate the bar from the main dining room. Warm terracotta and yellow colors with hot pink accents are featured throughout the restaurant as well as traditional, one-of-a-kind Mexican crafts, fabrics and artwork. This combination creates the perfect backdrop for the festive atmosphere and innovative Mexican cuisine of Rosa Mexicano.

I can't say enough about this restaurant and specially this location, the staff is so friendly and always going above and beyond expectations (specially people at the bar). Frozen margaritas are amazing! Guacamole the best in town you can ask mild or spicy. The food is so delicious it actually taste like authentic Mexican food (ask for the nachos and... More

It is great when you find a restaurant that suits parents and teenagers, the parents like the great service and food and the teenagers love the food and the decor. Love the guacamole trolley especially. Maybe not the most authentic food, but great anyway. Definitely one to revisit.

Came here with some friends for a quick early dinner. Food was good, nothing amazing or great, mine was a little plain. The Guacamole was the best part. Freshly made right in front of you with added seasonings of your choice!! Drinks are pretty good too. Overall is was a so so experience cant say I would be running back.

This was my second visit to Rosa Mexicano and it was just as good or perhaps even better than my first visit more than 5 years ago! The guacamole was divine and prepared at the table. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. Overall I could not ask more from this restaurant. It is a nice mix between casual, trendy, and... More

The restaurant was very attractive and spacious. As far as service I was also impressed with the attentiveness from the workers. Everyone seemed to be actively trying to attend to all of the customers in the restaurant and it appeared that the restaurant manager even took part in all aspects of customer service. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with my... More

We came here for lunch this past Labor Day weekend. We were able to make a reservation on Open Table and beat the lunch rush. We've been to several of the other locations over the years and this spot has the same ambience as the others- upscale Mexican served in a large, tastefully decorated room. The guacamole is prepared table... More

This is a very good Mexican restaurant. They prepare the guacamole in front of you and it tastes great. The service is efficient but not great. They do have a brunch which is well priced at 20.00 The food is good.

Just went here for the first time in a few years on a Thursday night. And it is everything that I remember. If you are looking for a quiet and intimate evening, this is not the place for you. If you want a fun and loud night with lots of drinks and great guacamole, then this is the place to... More

Good points - it's a big place, nice decorated, not packed, friendly service, very tasty food and strong cocktails. Negative points - it's a bit pricey. NYC is weird - you can easily get good cheap food, generally cheaper / better than in Europe (Example: pizza. You just can't get a decent pizza in Europe under 10EUR.) However as from... More
