Delightful cozy Dinner

This was a warm and cozy place for a delicious dinner. The soup of the day - potato leek was great. The Onion soup also terrific. Skate meunière was a large potion - and the duck breast was cooked perfectly. Attentive service from nice and kind wait staff. I would return here.

I love the location, the nice choice of wines, and authentic food. My Steak Tartare was Outstanding!!! However, my wife's Croque Monsieur was only adequate, with the edges black from being burned. We could have refused it of course as everyone makes mistakes. However it was just symptomatic of the a service that just missed being warm, inviting and aware.... More

This is a small restaurant but it provides an exceptional wine list and the kitchen serves up a variety of French stables including onion soup, coquille St. Jacques, pate, Croque Monsieur, etc. What impressed me was the very reasonable prices for food and the range of entrées between $10-$30. The wines offer a luxurious selection and a great place to... More

Grand Hyatt recommended this great spot. Perfect for Sunday brunch. Excellent food and service while listening to a jazz combo.

Fortunately, this restaurant was open regular hours on Christmas Day and the menu was the normal dinner menu! We almost had the restaurant to ourselves and our waitress was very attentive. The Foie Gras appetizer and the Magret de Canard entree were exceptional. The leg of lamb was a little less tasty. Overall, a very nice place to dine.

We made our usual trip into NYC to see the tree. I thought if we parked far away we'd miss traffic. I was wrong. We came out of the garage and saw this place. We checked out the menu and saw a lot of things we like. We walked over to see the tree,do some shopping and went to Saint... More

Had a fabulous meal here. Good service, great food and good prices for NYC. Always busy and for good reason.

If you like restaurants with a wine theme, this is the place. There is an incredibly large selection of French wines by the glass, and the waiter who helped us was very knowledgeable. The food was classically French but not outrageously priced, and the atmosphere is warm and intimate without being over the top. I look forward to eating here... More

This is small neighborhood restaurant, with quality home cooked food. We shared a fois Gras that was flavorful, just melted in our mouths. Our friendly waiter offered us complimentary desert wine to go with it. The duck entree was delicious, cooked to perfection.the duck confit, sausage and bacon cassoulet was the evening's special. One of the best duck confit I've... More

I'd read in someone else's review of Pod 51 that the French restaurant next door was amazing. So after a cold wet day tromping around the city I was ready for a warming glass of red wine. I went down to Le Bateau Ivre before the others were back to check it out and have a drink...at 6:00...on a Saturday... More
