After many locations with TVs and bright lights it was a real pleasure to enjoy good French food in a comfortable and pleasant setting. The food was good quality and generous portions and we were impressed by the complimentary drink at the end of our meal. A good choice if you want somewhere away from the bright lights.

We enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food at Le Batteau. The wine list is long and the menu is short. My lovely dining companion ordered an excellently prepared escargots appetizer and the duck breast entree. My grilled chicken breast was perfectly grilled, but I didn't anticipate the large dollop of "le beurre" (butter) placed on top of the chicken... More

Followed up a night on Broadway with a late dinner here. As soon as you walk in the door, you are transported away from the chaos of NYC to the coziness of a French bistro. Food was delicious - french onion soup and the pork chop with mustard sauce were standouts. Excellent wine list with good recommendations from the waiter.... More

This was a warm and cozy place for a delicious dinner. The soup of the day - potato leek was great. The Onion soup also terrific. Skate meunière was a large potion - and the duck breast was cooked perfectly. Attentive service from nice and kind wait staff. I would return here.

I love the location, the nice choice of wines, and authentic food. My Steak Tartare was Outstanding!!! However, my wife's Croque Monsieur was only adequate, with the edges black from being burned. We could have refused it of course as everyone makes mistakes. However it was just symptomatic of the a service that just missed being warm, inviting and aware.... More

This is a small restaurant but it provides an exceptional wine list and the kitchen serves up a variety of French stables including onion soup, coquille St. Jacques, pate, Croque Monsieur, etc. What impressed me was the very reasonable prices for food and the range of entrées between $10-$30. The wines offer a luxurious selection and a great place to... More

Grand Hyatt recommended this great spot. Perfect for Sunday brunch. Excellent food and service while listening to a jazz combo.

Fortunately, this restaurant was open regular hours on Christmas Day and the menu was the normal dinner menu! We almost had the restaurant to ourselves and our waitress was very attentive. The Foie Gras appetizer and the Magret de Canard entree were exceptional. The leg of lamb was a little less tasty. Overall, a very nice place to dine.

We made our usual trip into NYC to see the tree. I thought if we parked far away we'd miss traffic. I was wrong. We came out of the garage and saw this place. We checked out the menu and saw a lot of things we like. We walked over to see the tree,do some shopping and went to Saint... More

Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
