I found this while searching for random places to take my family to eat. They like to stick to what they know every time they come to NYC so I try not to get to exotic when taking them to random places. That being said, I thought the food here was fantastic and so did everyone else. The prices were... More

Wandering Chelsea's galleries and wanted lunch. Deb suggested Bottino just 'cause of the way it looked. The hostess asked if we wanted inside seating or outside. Wow. They have the neatest courtyard - a delightful oasis in the city. It's covered but open - very Italian. Jack was our waiter and was loads of fun. Good suggestions. I had orrecchiette... More

We ate lunch here after visiting nine galleries. We planned on an early dinner and show so we ate light. This place was beautiful with light from the garden/patio and just the right size salads and soups to hold us over for an early dinner. The service was impeccable and while the prices were high, what isn't in NYC? I... More

Love the take out sandwiches and salads... Easy, quick lunch take out. The inside dining experience is just okay.... Service is not as friendly on busy nights. Good seafood options and decent wine selection. Chocolate mousse dessert is tasty though.

Like other reviewers we stopped here by chance mid-day after an afternoon of gallery hopping and sight seeing. We were delighted to find a warm and friendly atmosphere, good drinks and a round of truly first rate appetizers and snacks.

The restaurant has a VERY GOOD burrata that you should try. Aside from that, I've found that it was a little bit pricy for the quality of the food, but still very nice. It is really nice inside, though, like nearly every restaurant in NY, you eat VERY close to other people if you are a couple or small group.... More

We dropped in at Bottino's by chance. It was raining, it was lunch and our umbrellas were leaking. The front doesn't promise too much, but that's the charm of Chelsea, but inside we were well greeted and offered a nice little table in the glassed extension in the rear. This however proved itself to be a lesser good choice as... More

We just ducked in here today for an early dinner after doing some gallery biz with my artist friend. The pastas were well- executed -- my rigatoni with tomato sauce and eggplant had a good meaty flavor. We chose to eat at the table in the window rather than the dining room in back. The waitstaff was excellent, which is... More

First the con. This is a kind of 1970s era Italian restaurant that could greatly benefit from a facelift and menu update. Having said that, our experience was generally good. Booking a reservation was easy, and our seating was friendly and prompt. Our young server was friendly and knowledgable. We went with two of the specials. Mine was very good,... More

It is a small but cozy place to sit down for cozy meals. The back offer private event space (quite large in the back). Food selections are very basic such as pasta, but they are not that bad (but I had better meals in other places). I recommend this place since they are close to the Highline and galleries. Not...
