Our daughter was running in the NYC Half Marathon so we decided to stay overnight in the City and picked Bottino's purely on a whim. A party of four, we were quickly seated in charming sheltered and nicely heated sunroom (on a rainy March Saturday night) and we had a lovely meal. Several of us had the Fettucine with Lobster... This restaurant is really very good. There are so many great Italian restaurants in New York, and this one isn't flashy, but has great food. We ordered apps, salads, entrees, dessert, wine & coffee. I really enjoyed the burrata app, the antipasto plate and the zuppe di pesce. The pecan pie and chocolate pudding were delicious. The service was pretty... More

Lovely restaurant with comfortable atmosphere. They catered to our large group and were very efficient when delivering our food on time. Great selection of authentic dishes with their own touch. We found everything delicious and enjoyable.

I was there for lunch with a friend. The restaurant is nicely located in near the Chelsea gallery district and not far frompublic transportation. The food was good, the service was efficient and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. It was not unduly noisy. I would certainly recommend this place for a meal when in the Chelsea area.

I attended a private party for about 30 people here, which was very nice. The food and service were very good as was the atmosphere.

A long list of Sandwiches and salads. Stand in line a inside a small space and be ready to say the name of the sandwich ( everyone says the number and the type of bread) I prefer focacia bread but there other ones such as wheat, olive, baguette . . They do run out one type depending on what time... More

On Saturday I attended a bridal shower in the back room. We had a limited menu, which included perfect choices. Our waiter (British accent) was superb, the courses all came out on schedule and the food was delicious.

Selected Bottino based on friend's recommendation & was not disappointed! Booked a table for 12 a month or so in advance, final dinner for a girls weekend. Thanks to hurricanes & other obstacles beyond our control we watched our party of 12 dwindle to 9 the day of our Saturday night reservation; then traffic & a broken down cab resulted... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
