Description: As one of the best kept secrets in New York City, Gigino at Wagner Park...
As one of the best kept secrets in New York City, Gigino at Wagner Park offers a spectacular view of Lady Liberty and the New York Harbor. Owners Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez along with executive chef Luigi Celentano, have taken great pride in bringing Italian cuisine to Battery Park City for over 10 years. Nestled between the Ritz Carlton and the Statue of Liberty, Gigino can be found just a few steps south of The Jewish Heritage Museum. Open year round, Gigino at Wagner Park is a great place for a romantic evening or family get together.

Good munchies and drinks, but you go for The View!!

Went for drinks and munchies early on a Friday evening in July. You can't beat the view. They have lots of outdoor seating so you catch the breeze and watch the boats in the harbor. We ordered Cinzano Procecco, which was about $ 40/bl as I recall, which was pretty reasonable considering the... read more

I made a reservation for a table of 3 on a Sat at 8 PM. We had to wait for 15 minutes but the staff was very kind and offered their apologies. They ended up giving us the best table of the restaurant, far from the noise and facing directly the Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River. Food was... More

One of the best tasting Italian restaurants I've ever had. I had the gamberoni fra diavola, which was Shrimp sautéed in a lightly spiced tomato sauce over angel hair pasta. My wife had the gamberoni portofino, a Shrimp dish sauteed with julienne prosciutto and mushrooms in a light cream sauce with tagliatelle pasta. Both dishes were delicious, full of flavor... More

Visited my son in NY and the first night he took me here. Wow! The setting is magnificent! We sat outside and across the Hudson River stood the Statue of Liberty...you felt like you were in Europe...or perhaps even the Hamptons!.....anywhere but the tip of NYC. The sunset was amazing as we dined. I would go back there in a... More

To be fair, when you eat at a restaurant with one of the world's iconic views, you must expect to pay a little extra for the food, and so it is with Gigino at Wagner Park. This was the last night of our honeymoon in New York City, and we were just yards from our hotel the Ritz-Carlton at Battery... More

Great value! We sat down to a early dinner while the sun was setting and had a great bottle of wine and multiple courses of very good traditional Italian food. The children could play soccer on the field right in front of the restaurant while the adults ate and relaxed. Afterwards you can stroll along the park and watch the... More

This restaurant's location is absolutely fantastic: whether you are a visitor or a local (as we are), there are few outdoor venues in Manhattan better than this to sit on a summer day. Watch the boats in the harbor, watch all the people walking by, watch kids playing on the lawn, it's very pleasant. The setting is so nice that... More

Went to Gigino on Mother's Day for lunch with our large family. Booked a table a month in advance with no trouble. Loved that we did not have to pay upfront and they had a regular menu. Prices were good for NYC and food and drinks were delicious. Also loved that we were outside on a beautiful day and were... More

Enjoy great food while overlooking the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Food and drinks were good. Service was attentive but you were not rushed.

Had the privilege to attend an engagement luncheon at this fine restaurant. We had a picture perfect Sunday afternoon and had a magnificent view of Lady Liberty, Ellis Island, Governors Island and NY harbor traffic. The service was what you would expect at a fine restaurant but the food exceeded all expectations. The menu selections were numerous enough to please... More
