The food is as excellent as the view; it's great in the summer and better in the winter; I wish I were there now.
Excellent Italian cuisine that is reasonably priced by Manhattan standards. Weather permitting outside dining is outstanding with a view of the Statue of Liberty.
Great food in a beautiful and incomparable setting. Great anytime of day. Where else can you see the statue of liberty, watch boats sail on by, see the sun set and get great food and wine?
Went with some friends whilst visiting New York. What brought me to the restaurant was that I'd read that it had an amazing view and good food. My daughter and I had lunch at Gugino at Wagner Park in September 2013. The outdoor seating is so fun with a view of the water and the Statue of Liberty! We had the cold quinoa salad and the spinach salad. Excellent. the bread with olive oil for dipping is perfect. Make a reservation or take a change and walk... More

The unimposing brick building looks like a former municipal park cafe and public lavatory; in fact half of it still is the latter! But with a plethora of well dressed outdoor tables and a fabulous view... More
We decided to try Gigino with it's spectacular view of The Statue of Liberty for our last meal before ending our New York visit. Little did we dream that the view would almost be outdone by superb food served by an excellent team. A special moment made into a lifetime memory. Sitting outside, eating wonderful food, absorbing a unique view.... More
Solid Italian food. Given the attraction of the view it can get a little crowded but that wasn't our experience on the weeknight we went. Tough to find a better view from the ground in NY than at Gigino. Good service and fairly priced, too.
My family and I dined here on one gorgeous Saturday afternoon in August. We booked the reservation on Open Table the day before. It was a stone's throw from our hotel, but it felt world's away. Being from an historic city on the water, this was such a treat! Not even does our own city with magificent historical backround offer... More
