Beautiful view and good food

This restaurant is in Battery Park. The only signage I could see was on the front door...and only if it is fully open, because the writing is on the inside. The view over the water with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in the distance was outstanding. The fact they ordered up a beautiful... read more

The food wasn't bad, but to me a bit average. Service was fine, but what this restaurant really has is a view. Would probably eat here again just to enjoy the view.

Planned to eat here when visiting the Statue of Liberty but they were closed for a private luncheon with no prior announcement or note at the door, so I walked in to be seated and was turned away. Glad it happened as the prices seemed inflated and staff a little too elitist for non locals. Found a great little deli/cafe... More

While showing a business acquaintance around Battery Park, I searched Trip Advisor for nearby restaurants. We decided to try Gigino and were not disappointed! The view is spectacular. Our server was very attentive and helpful with the menu. We enjoyed fabulous Italian food while looking at the wonderful view. The caprese salad was very good - the tomatoes were fresh... More

The only reason I am giving a rating of 4 instead of 5 is because of two things: (1) There were a few ants on the table, which can be somewhat understood since our table was outside (2) the waiter had to be flagged down a couple times for various things (like ordering our food and getting the check -... Very noisy. The food was mediocre. the view is great. Better to pick up a picnic and sit on the grass in Wagner Park

The view of the harbour and the statue of Liberty make this restaurant worth a visit. The food and service make it essential! I thoroughly enjoyed my recent dinner here and will definitely return.

This place is situated in the great location. Views of Statue of Liberty and the river are stunning. It's a great romantic place. They serve Italian cuisine, whatever we have ordered was good. Service was also fine. But overall, and it seems to me, people are coming for this gorgeous view. However, the combination of the food and drinks and... More

I made a reservation for a table of 3 on a Sat at 8 PM. We had to wait for 15 minutes but the staff was very kind and offered their apologies. They ended up giving us the best table of the restaurant, far from the noise and facing directly the Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River. Food was... More

Went for drinks and munchies early on a Friday evening in July. You can't beat the view. They have lots of outdoor seating so you catch the breeze and watch the boats in the harbor. We ordered Cinzano Procecco, which was about $ 40/bl as I recall, which was pretty reasonable considering the view and the lower Manhattan location. We... More
