Gigino came with a lot of hype, and left me wanting more. The view is incredible. You can see the Statue of Liberty, which lights up at night. The atmosphere is great, especially in thr outside seating area. I had gnocchi with red sauce and it was very bland. Disappointingly bland. They were out of tiramisu, so we had some... More

You have to live downtown to truly appreciate this place. We love it because you can sit outside, have drinks and food, and let the kids run around in the grass or ride their scooters. The staff is totally cool to let you hang out for hours as long as they are not slammed and everyone around you is usually... More

We met some friends for dinner on a warm May evening. The best thing going for this restaurant is the view of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and waterfront. We sat down around 6 and the sun was still setting and it was bright and a little warm and uncomfortable. Time your visit for a time when the sun... More

A really good place to see Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Jersey City and all the boat traffic on the Hudson. The food is good and not too expensive. Has a nice grass area that you can play on.

My friend that works on Wall Street recommended this. We sat outside on a beautiful night and it was breath-taking: water, Statue of Liberty, boats - what more could you want. The food was great, too, and the wine list had a variety of very affordable and good wine. I enjoyed my evening and would definitely return. This is perfect... More

This restaurant at Wagner Park even made my 90 year-old native-New Yorker in-laws find a new appreciation for the city. Nestled in the old fort right smack in front of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Gigino is cozy and serves satisfying food as well. While, many of the dishes could have used a bit more seasoning, they were... More

Ordered salmon , steak, striped bass and Octopus. The octopus and Caprese with mozzarella were very good. The steak was also nicely seasoned. The salmon, was undercooked. I asked for it to be well done. Fortunately, it was returned and brought back well done. We ordered dessert. One was tartufo and sorbet. I would recommend reservations. Great view of the... More
