Ate here with my daughter for the first time. Good food, good service and people here are friendly. This was a pleasant surprise.
This has been one of my parents favorite Mexican restaurant for at least 20 years (maybe more). I was in NY last week, and we ate there. It is still an excellent restaurant, with very authentic food, and the best Sangria you can find in NYC. Great Chicken MOLE and Brisket Fajitas. Very festive too...
My family and I stopped in for brunch .... the food and drinks were delicious!! Huevos ranchero, french toast, burritos and sangria - need I say more!! The staff is very attentive. We will definitely be back for dinner!!
We took the family and they had something for all of us. Steak with guacamole and a chicken enchilada on the side? Delicious! A "gringo" menu had tacos and quesadillas for the kids, and even a pitcher of a rum concoction that rounded out a perfect meal. Highly recommended!
Recommended to us by our friendly girl on the hotel desk, we had a great evening on the last night of our stay in NYC. Nice table in the window and we were looked after by all the staff and the manager. As a lot of the reviews state the fact it has been there for 40yrs says a lot!... More
Mexico Lindo has been around for decades -- and in Manhattan that says a lot! The food is consistently very good, the margaritas and sangria are excellent, and the place always is crowded. It's the only Mexican restaurant for miles around, and it draws clientele from all over, as well. I can recommend everything on their menu -- I've eaten... More
Likes: great drinks, bartender's not scared to pour. Food was good. with so many choices in NYC for Mexican food - this is worth repeating. Dislikes: some tables are so small and cramped, it makes eating impossible, especially when you have chips, salsa, quac, and drinks spread around you.
We visited with friends and completely enjoyed this restaurant from beginning to end. The food is plentiful. I had fajitas (beef and shrimp) that were amazing. It was served with 5 flour tortillas. This was much more than I could eat. I also enjoyed a Margarita. One of the memorable parts of this meals was being serenaded by the guitar... More
I visited with a small group of friends during a lunchtime. There was also a large party in the restaurant, but this didn't affect the quality of service which was very good. Food was excellent, with a large selection, and we all agreed that we would return next time we were in NYC.
