Really good food!

Their fried chicken is amazing and the service was pretty good, the price is alright but for me personally I wish I had more chicken for 17 Ish dollars

If you’re hankering for something a little different for Sunday brunch in NYC, you should head up to Sylvia’s Restaurant in Harlem. Dig into the authentic soul food and down home cookin’, like chicken & waffles, or grits and collard greens. Each of our meals turned out to be just as delicious, as they sounded. If you time it right... More

To everybody who's planning to visit the Big Apple soon, make sure you visit Harlem to experience a vibrant and unique atmosphere in a multicultural area and finish in Sylvia's for some soul food. Harlem style fried chicken and waffles was amazing - Crispy and juicy; such a nice flavour. We also had the meatloaf with mac and cheese and... More

Visited here on the 18th November what an amazing place, There was a live singer playing when we visited which just added to the atmosphere. All the staff were so helpful and the food was amazing! I had the meatloaf with garlic mash while my friend had the ribs... Both of us couldn't quite clear our plates as the potions... More

We were recommended this place by the lovely man at Atmos sneaker shop. We were not disappointed. I had the grilled shrimp, collard greens and mash, while my husband had the ribs, greens and mash. Both dishes were substantial without being overwhelming. The staff were particularly friendly and really glad to hear about a couple of Aussies staying in their... More

My girlfriend from North Carolina said we had to eat at this place in Harlem. OK...I grew up in Jersey but had never heard of it. She was right. We had lunch in this classic soul food restaurant that has been locked in here since 1962. Dusted fried catfish for me (first time ever) and calves liver for her, with... More

You can tell by the Harlem locals in the restaurant that the food is going to be great and it was. The cornbread at the start, the ribs, collard greens, Mac and cheese - it's all good. You may think the service is a bit slow to start but it's not because once the food comes you will not need... More

Visited recently with my niece who has to have gluten free food. We asked about this before we were seated and were told the kitchen would be able to do something. We waited ages for our order to be taken and were told the kitchen could not cook an omelette because it was after breakfast. Unfriendly waitress who didn't want... More
