This was our families second visit and it certainly lived up to our expectations. The Greek / Mediterranean food is prepared with a nice touch of authenticity but yet offers other dishes that are blended and amazing. Our appetizers were Pylos light as air Greek Meatballs, Grilled Octopus, Grilled Sea Scallops. All I can say it they were WOW. My... More

Pylos is a very authentic and charming restaurant in the East Village. The food is excellent, the service is inconsistent. Make sure to reserve in advance as it is often booked. The decor is very Nicely done with contemporary and Greek elements. Their green and Greek salads are delicious as are appetizers like the fava beans. Great fish and sides.... More

Went to Pylos last night with my wife to meet our friends who flew in from the Left Coast. They picked Pylos and my initial reaction was "good choice" based upon the reviews. We got to the restaurant and the waitress was friendly and helpful in suggesting Greek wines. Once our friends arrived the waitress advised us of the evenings... More

I rarely go to the East Village, and was thrilled to have stumbled upon this spot. First thing you notice is the cool decor as soon as you walk in. Tables were full and we were able sit at the communal table. The Greek salad and the branzino were phenomenal. The three Greek cheeses in clay pot was great, and... More

I love Mediterranean food but there are not many Greek restaurants where I live in Westchester County. My son brought me to Pylos and everything I had was wonderful. Our appetizers were terrific, a yummy moussaka with artichokes and, I don't remember the Greek name, the fried zucchini and I think eggplant, with a yogurt dip was sizzling hot, crispy... More

By far one of the best Greek restaurants we've been to on this side of the Atlantic. There are so many good items on the menu that make us want to try, both their cold mezethes and hot (like grilled octopus) were very satisfying. We were place at the communal table and everything was great, there was plenty of space... More

The waitress was very nice and tried to help out our gluten free guest. We sampled most dishes on the menu, and found good, solid food, but very few exceptional dishes. The squid was good, octopus okay, meatballs fairly tasty, the melted cheese very salty. Fried appetizers were a little greasy, but also not bad. The artichoke moussaka was tasteless.The... More
