You can try anything on the menu and I guarantee that you won't be disappointed. I should mention that I am a very picky eater. Definitely make a reservation here when in town.

A friend took me there and we had this great bass with pistachio crust. Amazing! would return there for sure. Another friend who is a vegetarian loves the options she could have there!

I love trying new restaurants when in NYC but sometimes you just cave in to your family when you know it's a sure thing! Can't go wrong here , all was as good as usual, braised beef, moussaka, sirloin steak, and fish. They only sell Greek wines which I think is great. It's nice to order wines which I wouldn't... More

Really enjoyed my birthday dinner here... A little tight space but the appetizer and the main course compensated .... Sorry didn't like the waitress too much though but she was ok

I love Greek cuisine and have been to many of Astoria's Greek restaurants as well as eleven trips to Greece. Pylos offers traditional Greek food with a modern flare. I loved the grilled octopus with a nice touch of sweetness and added caper berries. The lamb shank rivaled the best that I've had in Kos, Greece. Worth coming back to...... More

We had out of town guests and wanted to take them someplace SPECIAL. We could not have made a better choice. Octopus, scallops, lemon chicken soup and calamari salad were EXCELLENT. The room was pleasantly calm and inviting. Cannot wait to go back for dinner.

Last night in NYC & looking for something different & special..Pylos in the East Village certainly filled my desires.. Upon entering, 100's of clay pots hang vicariously from the ceiling enclosing the cozy, quaint restaurant below. Seating is close, yet comfy along an exposed brick wall adding charm and a family feel to the overall experience. Service was outstanding and... More

We love this place. This is our second visit. We don't know much about Greek food. With wonderful guidance from our waitress, we picked a perfect wine, and made all the right choices for food. It's rustic, but modern, and very intimate. It has a family feel about it. We love it!
