Loved this place. What a find. We were able to grab a last-minute reservation, got here late and were ushered to our table in a packed out restaurant. I was concerned by how close the tables were to each other, but everyone was so absorbed in their own conversation that this wasn't an issue. The place was small, lively and... More

My family and I went to Pylos for a Birthday dinner and it was fantastic! The service was great, our waiter was very sweet and attentive and the meal was well paced. The ambiance was great and the clay pots that line the ceiling were adorable. We ordered the octopus, Greek meatballs and phyllo pockets filled with beef and cheese... More

This is a small-ish out of the way spot. Very crowded for a cold Monday night in March. We were seated right away, although we were only given two menus for the three of us. The waitress took a little while to get to us, but once we got things on track we have an enjoyable dinner. The place was... More

Was really impressed by the avgolemono soup which takes the original lemon soup and adds chunks of chicken breast and rice, making the best of both worlds. The saganaki is perfectly done, and even their traditional salad gets high marks. I had plenty to stop here but saw delicious whole fish entrees and nice looking desserts to try next time.... More

We visit NYC several times a year--and this restaurant has become a must because it is so delicious-last night we once again had superb service and a most fabulous meal-the very best 'greek salad'--greek sausages...and the lamb chops....a big wow! Can not wait to visit again in a few months.

After going here solo a couple of times, when we were visiting friends in New York over MLK weekend 2014, we decided to go to Pylos for dinner. We loved it, again, and they loved it, too. Service was great. The waiter made great recommendations about the quantity of food to order, the dishes we might like, and the wines... More

We ate here before going to a show and we absolutely LOVED it! The food was absolutely to die for. We had this awesome Greek red wine (course, they had all sorts to choose from). I would definitely recommend this place.

had brunch there. we arrived at 11:30 and were first (and for awhile only) customers. service was terrible in multiple ways. server never looked our way so had to call him several times - he was in conversation and couldn't be bothered. food took very long time to come. asked for coffee and he didn't bring it. busboy asks if... Very nice design with clay pots covering the ceiling. Service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. My lamb was outstanding. My only negative comment would be that the wine list is limited to only Greek wines and while I appreciate the owners intent on authenticity, Greek wine leaves a lot to be desired. I would prefer to have... More
