We didn't have reservations and the place was packed, but they offered us seats at a community table with just a 15 minute wait. SO GLAD that we had the chance to sit there-- it's not like the normal NYC table with 10 strangers. THIS was a marble topped huge cooking space with the staff on one side and diners... More

I stopped by for the first time in a few years with a group of five colleagues. The food was still very good, but it did not seem quite as good as before. The service was still good, but not quite as good as before. I was a little concerned as neither the hostess or our waitress were Greek, and... More

Service was spot on, food was just as good as it was on the Greek Island we just left, which is why we sentimentally choose this place. Get a reservation, we lucked out on a slow night!

We have been a few times, and it's consistently great. Best lamb shank I've ever had! Decor is nice, service very attentive. Love it!

This was recommended to us by a friend and we are so happy we went. All our food was tasty and Antonis our waiter was very knowledgeable of the food (especially with my intolerances). Would visit again.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for dinner last night. While the menu is a little more offbeat than your average Greek restaurant, we were not disappointed. We started with the bean, arugula and seared scallop salad. The blend was perfect as were the beautifully seared sea scallops. Then we had the artichoke moussaka which, while very good, it... More

We dined at Pylos before attending the theater at New York Theater Workshop (a few blocks away). The taremasalata was excellent, as was the shrimp and scallops main and the short ribs main. We finished with a wonderful galaktobourekakia and coffees for desert. The selection of Greek wines by the glass was very nice and quite varied. We enjoyed our... More

I've tried a number of Greek Restaurants and enjoyed them all, but Pylos was the best one yet. Really suburb classical greek food, with an occasional clever twist. After trying their mint feta moussse you'll never think of feta the same way again. The service was outstanding. Our friends were about 20 minutes late. By the time they showed up... More
