We go to Pylos once a ear when we sisit NYC and we have had the same pleasure each time. Food, service and wines are the best. I especially recommend the Moussaka and the fish... bt everything you can order is a pure delight.;

I rarely go to the East Village, and was thrilled to have stumbled upon this spot. First thing you notice is the cool decor as soon as you walk in. Tables were full and we were able sit at the communal table. The Greek salad and the branzino were phenomenal. The three Greek cheeses in clay pot was great, and... More

I love Mediterranean food but there are not many Greek restaurants where I live in Westchester County. My son brought me to Pylos and everything I had was wonderful. Our appetizers were terrific, a yummy moussaka with artichokes and, I don't remember the Greek name, the fried zucchini and I think eggplant, with a yogurt dip was sizzling hot, crispy... More

By far one of the best Greek restaurants we've been to on this side of the Atlantic. There are so many good items on the menu that make us want to try, both their cold mezethes and hot (like grilled octopus) were very satisfying. We were place at the communal table and everything was great, there was plenty of space... More

Fantastic steak-frites, great lamb & seafood, friendly waitstaff and a pleasant, lively atmosphere. A neighborhood favorite!

The waitress was very nice and tried to help out our gluten free guest. We sampled most dishes on the menu, and found good, solid food, but very few exceptional dishes. The squid was good, octopus okay, meatballs fairly tasty, the melted cheese very salty. Fried appetizers were a little greasy, but also not bad. The artichoke moussaka was tasteless.The... More

The ambiance is nice , but not my type..You have people sitting in a close distance to you because the tables are very close to each other and you can listen to their conversations while eating and trying to enjoy the company of your lovely husband. The food has a modern touch to it, its not authentic greek but its... More

Make reservations, or if a long wait, go next door for a great martini. The food is this restaurant is a completely different Greek experience - wonderful seasonings, sauces and essentially a more grown up take on classic dishes. The trio of aubergine, taramasalata and tzatziki was a revelation and the lamb - I had chops, my son had kleftiko... More

We didn't have reservations and the place was packed, but they offered us seats at a community table with just a 15 minute wait. SO GLAD that we had the chance to sit there-- it's not like the normal NYC table with 10 strangers. THIS was a marble topped huge cooking space with the staff on one side and diners... More

I stopped by for the first time in a few years with a group of five colleagues. The food was still very good, but it did not seem quite as good as before. The service was still good, but not quite as good as before. I was a little concerned as neither the hostess or our waitress were Greek, and... More
