Delicious food, nice spot

I wasn't too terribly hungry, so I ended up having the Hummus and Falafel Platter. It was enough food for probably two people, but it was so good I finished it all. My mom had the lamb and would highly recommend it as well. There are thousands of places to eat in this area, but I'll be sure to... read more

The Mogador had a great vibe but very poor service. We ordered a soup (which was very watery and flavourless) and a hamburger which was served with no cheese or mustard - this is NY if your going to put a burger on your menu then get it right

We ate brunch here twice which was quite good. Had some interpretation of eggs benedict with spinach. Went back for dinner with friends recently. We had small plates of grilled shrimp in a wonderful sauce, halumi cheese and grilled calamari. These were all quite tasty. My friends ordered lamb tagine and it looked just like a huge chunk of lamb... More

By far one of my favorite meals of April !! Hummus is just like in Israel, ingredients are fresh and tasty. The service is professional and efficient. An amazing option in NYC.

Nice spot ideally located in East Village where I went several times to enjoy delicious Mediterranean food. It has always been a very nice experience. Don't hesitate to try their humus with falafels! They serve also good cocktails, you will not be disappointed with their amazing Black Cherry Magarita! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a... More

This Moroccan-style restaurant serves up the basic specialities in a really tasty form. It’s a busy, bustling place without pretensions and delivers accordingly. The evening menu extends way beyond the ethnic standards and offers a wide range of dishes and the occasional specials. All-in-all, good value for money and a very satisfying experience.

Was staying in the East Village for a few days whilst on holiday and popped here for brunch on my last day in the city, I wasn't disappointed. The food and the coffee were great, I had the hallummi eggs (an excellent choice) and my friend had the Middle-Eastern breakfast, all of which were very affordable. The service was very... More

This is a great neighbourhood Cafe. The food is great and it is a fun place to be for an hour or so. The long lineups that happen on a Sunday for lunch time say it all. You are never rushed though. Their mint tea is great. One of my favourite places.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
