Excellent place on a smaller street in East Village. Handful of sidewalk tables make for good people watching, but a bit stuffy indoors. Great food - especially the tagines, but enough variety on the menu to keep everyone happy. Great spot for a casual lunch.

Stumbled across this place while visiting the East Village. It was Sunday about 10:30 a.m. and the place was jumping! The menu looked great so the 4 of us got a table inside. Two ordered egg dishes - Middle Eastern with tabouli and hummus and Halumi with halumi cheese, olives, and roasted tomatoes. Both came with fluffy pitas with zahatar.... More

This place has outdoor eating, as well as indoor seating, it is crowded for the right reason. Beside the friendly atmosphere, it has excellent food, a treat to the taste buds. Their Organic Blackened Zahatar Chicken is juicy, the beef in the Grilled Hangar Steak melts on the tongue and their Hudson Valley Duck Confit is a must!

Came across this place by accident at my last visit to NYC. Outdoor seating was packed and the food looked great so decided to give it a try and loved it. Excellent selection of appetizers will consider going back.

What a fabulous experience I had at Mogador Cafe. This is a great "hopping" place in the east village. With many different restaurants to choose from we picked Mogador because we wanted an extra kick to our meal. The food was fabulous, came piping hot to our table and judging on how busy this place was - I was impressed... More

I've been here twice....the first time for dinner a few years ago. This review is for a recent trip. Went here with 3 other people on a Friday for breakfast at 10:30 and there was no line, which was nice. Seated promptly and order taken quickly. Unfortunately the waitress was cold and unfriendly and once she took our order, we... More

What a find this was in the East Village, queuing outside is always a good sign and a table for 6 appeared just as we arrived. An excellent selection of appetisers and main courses and all for sharing. With 4 teenage boys this was important as it was their first experience of Moroccan style food and brought comments like great... More

On the advice of a native New Yorker, we visited Cafe Mogador for Sunday brunch during our recent trip to NYC. I love mediterranean food, so Cafe Mogador was a real treat for me. They serve brunch/breakfast on Sundays until 4 p.m., which was great, because were moving slow that day. The Halumi Eggs were delicious, and their homemade sausage... More

it was busy and noisy when we were there, but the couscous was very good. For some reason the broth came later when we were half the way through but apart from that a good experience.

Went by for lunch with the family, and was really pleased with the welcoming feel from the staff. The sandwich i had was very tasty, and as usual I opted for the salad instead of fries which was a very good choice - the salad was very well put together and made the meal better. Our daughter, who's a picky... More
