If you are in the East Village over by Ave B and craving Pizza I highly recommend Pizza Grupo as they have one of the best thin crust pies in the city.
Great pizza. Thin crust. Nice waiters. New, furnished place a bit nicer than the old spot. Recommended
After discovering Gruppo earlier this year, and commenting on it here, I was privileged to go back in October with my wife and a large group of friends. The staff quickly accommodated us with a couple of tables in the back. The pizza has the thinnest crust I have ever seen...and I've had pizza all over Italy. Gruppo is great!... More
This is another of our regular stops when visiting the city. Have not been back since the restaurant moved to this new location. What a nice change! The space is now at least 3 times bigger so it's less of a problem getting a table. The dining room is dimly lit, long bar on one side, booth seats along the... More

Forget any thin crust pizza you've ever liked before: Gruppo's many delicious pizzas are on a crust so exquisitely thin it's like pizza on some wonderfully edible papyrus. Accept no substitutes!
I've travelled Italy looking for the thinnest crust pizza. I found it in the Lower East Side of Manhattan at Pizza Gruppo! Delicious thin crust pizza at the new location of this wonderful place. Great and friendly service too! It was soooo good that my friend went back the next day for more.
We'd heard about their amazing thin crust pizzas and there was only one way to find out. They have recently moved to a bigger, swankier place at 98 Avenue B, New York ,NY 10009. We wanted to try two different types of pizzas but could not have finished two whole pizzas, so they gave us two half family size pizzas... More
Everything was fantastic from the service, setting, food, drink and music. Pizza was out of this world! Great find in NYC. Two starters,Pizza, couple bottles of Red wine a Few beer all for $80. Could not ask for more and will be back next time in New York
If you're looking for perfect thin-crust Napolitana pizza, this is the place. Pizza dominates their menu, and for good reason. When you do one thing really well, it's good practice to stick with that one thing. They do also have some good appetizers and salads, particularly the beet and goat cheese salad.
