All you can drink beer or brunch drinks?

It's one of the quintessential brunch spots in the East Village. Lines are long but can be worth it. The food is good, I always go for the burger with a fried egg atop, and service is quick but friendly. One of the few places that allow unlimited beer with your brunch.

This place is absolutely amazing. If you choose to sit indoors the dim lights, the extremely loud music and friendly staff will make your experience awesome. The food is expensive but the atmosphere makes it totally worth it.

I wasn't expecting the food to be amazing since they are famous for all you can drink brunch. The eggs benedict was satisfying but nothing exceptional. This place is definitely fun on a saturday morning and well worth it for an all you can drink brunch. The service was very attentive and you truly get your monies worth with strong... More

Friends and I went for their booze brunch. You are provided with two option prices for meals. $10 or $15, unlimited drinks are $10 extra. The food was very good once we got it but the kitchen did have quite a few mix ups. I think this was due to everyone charging the restaurant at noon, when the doors opened.... More

Ugly, dark, crowded interior. An investment in upholstery would be nice. The benches were all torn up and uncomfortable. Smoke blowing in from outside. The bar ran out of a number of tap beers, on a Friday night? Not an environment I'd like to return to.

This cow is dark inside. Better for the young crowd. Was not very inviting. Nice selection of beers on tap, No chilled mugs. Beer was't cold. Didn't stay for food.

I recently went to the sunburnt cow for a Saturday brunch with a large group of friends. $20-25 for bottomless drinks (mimosas, screwdrivers, corkscrews) + your choice of brunch entree. The food is very good, particularly for the price. There is an excellent variety including pancakes, benedict, hamburger, omelette etc. The Queen Adelaide (poached eggs with salmon and avocado on... Well--with unlimited mimosas and near a university, what do you expect? This place is dark, small, and very crowded with people lining the walls for hours waiting for a place to sit. We got lucky--after being told it would be an hour and a half, we were seated at the bar within 30 minutes. The food was awesome--eggs benedict, crab... More

Totally over-hyped. It leaves you confused and wondering if you are experiencing a wild party from the prior night, or if you just have a really bad hangover. It's a great place to go if you want to drink during the day, in the pitch darkness. Or if your solution for a hangover is to... just drink some more. They... More

I really don't understand the hype about this place. I've been a total of 2 times (once for afternoon drinks and once for brunch) and both times I wasn't overly impressed. It is SO ridiculously crowded - there are so many people packed into that tiny area it's crazy. The back area is a little better, as you can eat... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
