I completely agree with the reviewers who laud the French onion soup. It was the best I have had in a long time. The rest of the menu is consistent and solid French fare. (Apparently the menu never changes.) The mustard sauce on the rabbit and pasta dish is very well conceived and executed. The tables are exceedingly but pleasantly... More

We popped in for drinks on our way home. Great vibe, very friendly staff. Definitely one of our favourite bars in the area.

Rendezvoused hear with one of my best mates who I had not seen for two years. First best thing - Kronenburg beer available (my favourite 2013 beer) - but of course it is because it is a French restaurant. I had not eaten much and it was late afternoon - but the French onion soup was amazing. So much so... More

Although we did have a reservation (admittedly for a rather large group of people), we ended up waiting for half an hour for our table. Because it is a small (tiny?) place, we sat rather "intimately" next to each other. I had no hors d'oeuvre, a steak with pommes frites, and a flowerless chocolate cake. My impression: nothing truly special;... More

Having seen some lovely French bistros close over the years was thrilled to have experienced Lucien. I am a big duck fan and theirs was beyond expectation. Low key and attentive staff.

The staff, and food is great here. The braised short ribs are not on the menu but they run it as a special almost all the time. I have had them, and they keep bringing me back. The restaurant is always busy, but Zack and the staff will always make room for you.

Best grilled shrimp I have ever had in my life. Others had grilled vegetables, onion soup, and Vichyssoise. Everyone loved the atmosphere, food, and service.

What a fabulous little french bistro right in the heart of the east village. The place was jammed to the rafters and even with that the service was perfect and the food fabulous. do not miss the roasted to perfection chicken! We were a party of 8 and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their dinner. We are already planning the next visit!!

Went on a Sat. nite with 3 other couples. We had an 830 reservation. It was impossible to find a spot on the street, so we went into a garage for $23. The restaurant is small, really small when you are waiting. There was no room at the bar so patrons were hold up against the wall behind bar area.... More
