This was actually the first place I headed to once I arrived in NYC - I am a fan of the book about tea that Moby released some years ago, and just had to try food at his actual cafe. The service was very slow, but it was busy so I can understand that. The food was just ok (and... More

The menu is all vegetarin- which is confusing at first because they list things like chicken salad. The "chicken" and other meats are actually processed fake meats. They have other items on the menu that do not include processed meats if you are oviding it. Many of the meals can easily be made vegan. I enjoyed the vegan chilli, and... More

As a vegetarian, I'm always excited to discover veg-friendly dining options when I travel. Teany is a great little spot in the LES. We sat on the patio, and really enjoyed the food and the vibe of the neighbourhood. I had the chipotle veggie burger, which was super delicious. Other reviews I read talked about slow service, but we had... More

I went to Teany's once and only once. I ordered a mozzarella, tomato, basil sandwich. I got my food after waiting over a half an hour. They messed up my order and gave me vegan bacon and lettuce sandwich, I tried it and it tasted horrible. The sandwich had way to much mayo slathered on it, and the lettuce looked... More

Apparently Moby visits this place now and again and he is right to do so. Great choice of lunch options and book full of different teas. I now officially declare their vegan chicken the best I've ever had (and be sure my wife took me to some veggie places before :-D)

I ordered the Tempeh BLT, and the chocolate peanut butter bomb and one of the tropical flavored hot teas. The Service was excellent, the food delicious. I cant wait to come back.

We just love this place. I think this was our 4th time. We try to fit Teany in on every NY trip. It is cosy, bright, friendly. And heaven for veggies and vegans like us. I had a vegan BLT - it was fabulous. My husband had a roast veg ciabatta. He loved it. We shared a huge slice of... More

What a great little place to sip a coffee and watch the world of the LES go by. Had an espresso - which was very good - however, their sandwiches looked amazing and made fresh.

On a recent trip to NYC, my Girlfriend and I decided to try Teany - Feb 18th to be exact. Excited to try some of the healthy options on their menu - Teany is bright & and cheerful place....our server was nowhere near close to being bright or cheerful. With the small open kitchen layout, we (along with two other... More
