This place does one thing, and it does it well: chips, fries, pommes frites, whatever you want to call them. They are the perfect type of chips - thick enough without being unwieldy, thin enough without being stringy. They come in Belgian-style paper cones, which is really the ideal way to take chips on the go. And don't forget the... More

LiviOnTour, whatever you want to call them is fine by us, as long as you're calling them "perfect". Thanks so much for the five star shout out! Now that you know where to find us and our fabulous frites, we hope you'll be back for another visit soon. We'll be here! All the best, Suzanne and Omer More

A great casual stop if you're craving a delicious snack. The fries are nice and thick and you're bound to find at least a few sauces you enjoy. The place is tiny and it gets busy so don't expect a long sit-down experience or anything, but the fries are worth standing for, trust me.

I'm not sure what the raves are about. French fries with dipping sauces with mayo as its base. I felt they were overpriced and sent me one step closer to a heart attack. You could smell the frying oil from the outside, while waiting on a very long line. Seating is very sparse and because of the oil the entire... More

NYMoverNShaker, we understand that fries aren't everyone's bag, but thanks for giving us a try anyway! Our frites are hand-cut from whole potatoes, then double-fried and served fresh just like the do in Belgium. These aren't your typical fast food fries and our prices reflect that quality. Let us know if you have any questions about what makes us unique... More

Just had my first experience at Pommes Frites this past Saturday. The fries were very good, but the sauces were excellent. I really enjoyed the curry ketchup and the garlic sauces. There are so many sauces to try so I will definitely be back again! Just wished there were more seats at this place.

Glad to hear your very first visit was such a success, Dave! Thanks for sharing some kind words on TripAdvisor. While there's plenty of sauces and frites to enjoy, we don't much room for seats. That's okay though: our frites are designed to be eaten on-the-go, just like they serve them in Belgium. If you come at an off-peak time,... More

Went here a couple of times with my wife. Always busy and always tasty. At least a dozen styles of mayo, mustard and ketchup are available. They are also happy to give free samples.

bfromcchinatown, who would have thought that dining at a restaurant that serves only one kind of food would involve such a difficult decision? Samples are necessary to find the perfect dip among our more than 30 options, so you're very welcome. Thank you for the five stars! Come see us again soon, Suzanne and Omer More

Pomme Palais was located in the iconic New York Palace Hotel. I have a coffee obsession. No matter what time of day I visited the Pomme, I was consistently greeted with a warm welcome and excellent Cappuccino. Gabby, Chris and Arlena remembered my particular order every time I came in. When I went for a morning cup of coffee and... More

The whole idea behind this is really simple, yet so beatifully done. Having really tasteful fries is great but what makes it a great place to be are the sauces, they are really awesome (Mango is my favorite). Every time I had some time to spare I loved going going there for some fries

WaldezJr, is there any more simple yet amazing food than the fried potato? It's perfect, a little slice of savory, crunchy deliciousness. We love that you 'get' what we're doing here and want to thank you for your five star recommendation on TripAdvisor! You'll have to come visit again soon and try more of our sauces. I've ignored this place for years, thinking it was just a hope in the wall tourist trap. It was delicious, our server was fabulous, and the heated patio on Saturday night was a comfortable place to have dinner and people watch. I recommend the escargot, the chicken and puff pastry, and the trio for dessert. It was like dining in... More

We visited here on the recommendation of our Daughters and it was very good but not the best Flemish Fries we have ever had. That accolade goes to the fries shop in the main square in Brugges and these are not of that quality. I would say that the dips though are excellent and as per previous reviewers I would... More

Craighigg1959, thanks for coming by during your visit to give our authentic frites a try. Of course, we don't claim to make the world's best frites; ours are an homage to the Belgian original. Still, it sounds like you enjoyed everything, especially the wide array of exotic sauces and flavor combinations we offer, and we're glad to hear it! Hopefully... More

It’s not that New York doesn’t serves you fries in better places especially when you could almost miss this place in a blink of the eye and have to take a little pain to get your order in your hands after having to go through a crowd of people getting desperate for their fries. But none of those matters once... More

Hopefully the experience of waiting for our frites isn't too painful! Thanks for taking a moment to recommend us on TripAdvisor, Margriet. It's wonderful to hear you're such a fan of our famous frites and "endless" dipping sauces. Anytime you get a craving for a hearty and delicious snack, just come see us again for another cone.
