Fresh hand cut frites made to order makes this place a must stop on your list. Tons of toppings and sauces will leave you coming back for more. Went with the parmessian/herb topping with a side of white truffle mayo. Nice!

ocloanshark, good call on stopping by our place after a night out! We love the late night crowd; it's almost as enjoyable meeting people in line at 2 AM as it is actually eating our frites. Glad you loved the food and had a great time! Hope to see you again whenever you're in NYC. All the best, Suzanne and... More

We visited Pommes Frites late on a Saturday night. The place was hopping. We ordered our fries and has a hard time choosing which sauces we wanted. The choices were plentiful and all sounded amazing. The fries were delicious! The staff was very friendly and nice even being as busy as they were. We left there satisfied and will definitely... More

Late on a Saturday night is probably the most exciting time to stop by, Lisa. Good call! I hope the experience of waiting in line for frites was just as fun as actually taking your first "delicious" bite. Thank you for the five stars and kind words! This lower east side french fry specialist specialises in fries only. They have a myriad of dipping sauces to go with the fries including my two favourite’s ranch and blue cheese. The fries are good, real good. The shop itself is surprisingly small on the inside so it’s difficult to get a seat because it was always busy. There is... More

Based on the reviews on TripAdvisor, we had to try Pommes Frites. The servings are generous, and ordering and receiving the chips is very quick even though they were busy. It's worth going there to see all the different sauces. Hard to beat good old Tomato Sauce (ketchup), but they are giving it a good crack. It would take you... More

MidtownSurryHills, glad you got a chance to stop by while you were in town! We're even happier that TripAdvisor steered you in our direction. You've had ketchup--did you try some of our more exotic sauces during your visit? If not, you'll have to make another stop before you leave! Thank you for the kind words, Suzanne and Omer More

Why are most americans overweight? Guess what? I don't care so pass me the Satay sauce for my fries you hoser! If your not understanding what this place is, they sell only fries. That's right, FRIES!!! Now I'm not going to say french fries because the French have given to the US as a gift the Statue of Liberty and... More

Just french fries!?!?! Not just!!!! POMME FRITES serves up hot delicious fries in 3 different sizes. The small is enough to feed a small army. Great selection of sauces. A couple basic free sauces, the rest there is a small charge. Try it, hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!!

If you are looking for a great side dish after a NYC hotdog, head over to the East Village. This place is great. We split a large order between two people...it was more than enough. A reg size for 2 would have worked. But either way, it was pretty cheap so feel free to splurge. And they have any sauce... More

griffithl, thank you for spreading the word about our frites and sauces! An NYC hot dog would definitely pair well with these taters, but you might be stuffed. Whichever sauces you chose, we hope the hit the spot! If you're still in town, you should drop by again and sample a few more before you head back to Ohio. Thanks... More

Have been here 3 times over the years. The fries are still fresh and fried to perfection. Continues to have excellent dipping sauces. Place is tight but it is NYC so what do you expect? Quantity is excellent value. Will go back.

This is a favorite destination for my husband and kids... Whenever we are in the area it a must stop! Their fries are the best.. sauces unbelievable.. what a treat! Only downside is that the place is the size of a closet. It's always packed.. no place to sit or stand.. but still worth the trip!

Made a special journey to this place to try this as I love fries!! Worked out around $4 a bag and with lots of dips to try..... Quite a little quirky place and I really liked the mango mayo and the "European Mayo" which is a standard mayo dip.
