This mall midtown sushi restaurant feels very authentic. It's simple, clean and has Japanese sensibility. They have a nice complete menu, with lots of choices. The service was good, but not overly friendly. I had a sushi deluxe dinner and the fish tasted very fresh. This is a great choice for sushi in New York.

I've ordered the combo and it was delicious. The service was very good as well. This is a nice restaurant if you have the craving for good Japanese food and have a low budget.

Well-prepared sushi and decent sake menu. The staff was attentive and didn't rush us, despite being a relatively small place in a midtown location (likely with high rent). We were staying nearby, so it was great to find good sushi without having to walk far.

Ordered the Chirashi. Not a lot of sashimi but tons of cheap pickled vegetables and inexpensive ingredients. Rice had too much vinegar in it. Fish was okay fresh, not super fresh, service was slow. Will not recommend anyone to go there and will not go back.

As in most NYC joints - go early if you don't want to wait for an eternity...! I arrived at 6 and was seated right away. When I left at 7, it was almost packed. The agadashi tofu was unctuous! The hamachi don (hamachi on seasoned rice) was delicious and not too expensive ($17?). All in all a good deal... More

Stayed at the Benjamin and went there on our last day - still cannot forgive ourselves for not eating there daily! Very inexpensive but very Japanese and oh-so-good!! Cozy decor, fresh fish, Japanese cooks and even waiters! Loved every bite. Highly recommended.

This cute, little Midtown cafe is quite a nice spot. It was very cozy with a kind and helpful staff. While I am not a sushi fan, there were many other things to choose from such as chicken, salmon and beef teriyakis and tempura. We decided on a veggie tempura for a late, light lunch. It was delicious. They close... More

We were staying at The Kimberly Hotel just near Nada and after a whole day of sightseeing were walking back and talking about dinner. We saw lots of people in Nada and chose to go in. Quickly seated we ordered agadashi tofu, mixed tempura, seaweed salad and a few other dishes. All were lovely and well presented. A great end... More

good quality food, but they got confused as to whether it was pick up or delivery. However, after the confusion was settled, the delivery man was very friendly.

The sushi was really great and looked authentic. I had the sashimi lunch special which was also accompanied by rice, miso, salad and a green tea which was great value for money. The restaurant appears small but seems to have more seating around corners and curtains which is not obvious at first. The restaurant has a family run feel about... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
