Perfect lunch

This cute, little Midtown cafe is quite a nice spot. It was very cozy with a kind and helpful staff. While I am not a sushi fan, there were many other things to choose from such as chicken, salmon and beef teriyakis and tempura. We decided on a veggie tempura for a late, light lunch. It was... read more

Stayed at the Benjamin and went there on our last day - still cannot forgive ourselves for not eating there daily! Very inexpensive but very Japanese and oh-so-good!! Cozy decor, fresh fish, Japanese cooks and even waiters! Loved every bite. Highly recommended.

We were staying at The Kimberly Hotel just near Nada and after a whole day of sightseeing were walking back and talking about dinner. We saw lots of people in Nada and chose to go in. Quickly seated we ordered agadashi tofu, mixed tempura, seaweed salad and a few other dishes. All were lovely and well presented. A great end... More

good quality food, but they got confused as to whether it was pick up or delivery. However, after the confusion was settled, the delivery man was very friendly.

The sushi was really great and looked authentic. I had the sashimi lunch special which was also accompanied by rice, miso, salad and a green tea which was great value for money. The restaurant appears small but seems to have more seating around corners and curtains which is not obvious at first. The restaurant has a family run feel about... More

On our way back to our Midtown hotel we saw the unpretentious sign for Nada Sushi. We were tired from our touring and decided to get some sushi to go. Nada is a small restaurant with very friendly staff that greeted us heartily when we entered. After we placed our order, we were invited to be seated and enjoy some... More

This was the best sushi I had in NYC. Reasonable price, good variety, and fast service. I had a variety of a la carte sushi rolls, each roll has 6 pieces, and is quite sizeable. Sushi is served with wasabi and pickled ginger (soy sauce is on the table).

ordered the gyoza, wakame and kyuuri salad, sashimi and chirashi-zushi. fish was fresh but the pieces were very skimpy - really so thin that i could see thru the pieces. rice was pretty good but was overly seasoned for my taste. aggressively seasoned rice and meager portions of fish did not leave a great impression. gyoza and the salad were... My second time here and I chose the chirashi again. Sashimi is fresh and tasty, service efficient and matter of fact. No insincere pleasantries - it's all about the food. If you are a drinker this is not the place for you as they have only chardonnay by the (small) glass - although that doesn't bother me at all. The... More

I did take-out one night (was staying next door at The Benjamin). Decent sushi, nice quirky service (attentive, funky personalities). It wasn't the BEST sushi I've ever had but in a pinch it's worth it. I'll do my research next time to find an alternative.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
