On our way back to our Midtown hotel we saw the unpretentious sign for Nada Sushi. We were tired from our touring and decided to get some sushi to go. The sushi was really great and looked authentic. I had the sashimi lunch special which was also accompanied by rice, miso, salad and a green tea which was great value for money. The restaurant appears small but seems to have more seating around corners and curtains which is not obvious at first. The restaurant has a family run feel about... More

ordered the gyoza, wakame and kyuuri salad, sashimi and chirashi-zushi. fish was fresh but the pieces were very skimpy - really so thin that i could see thru the pieces. rice was pretty good but was overly seasoned for my taste. aggressively seasoned rice and meager portions of fish did not leave a great impression. gyoza and the salad were... My second time here and I chose the chirashi again. Sashimi is fresh and tasty, service efficient and matter of fact. No insincere pleasantries - it's all about the food. If you are a drinker this is not the place for you as they have only chardonnay by the (small) glass - although that doesn't bother me at all. The... More

I did take-out one night (was staying next door at The Benjamin). Decent sushi, nice quirky service (attentive, funky personalities). It wasn't the BEST sushi I've ever had but in a pinch it's worth it. I'll do my research next time to find an alternative.

hoped for a quick, tasty lunch by myself. ordered tempura lunch set. miso soup delicious and the rest disappointing, soggy tempura, weak tea, wet lettuce salad and tepid rice. restaurant was low energy and seemed to have run out of steam

If you are looking for a decent sushi spot in midtown, Nada Sushi fits the bill. Traditional decor and menu make this a consistent spot if not a very memorable one. A recent lunch here showed a very overworked waitstaff (of one?!) rushing everyone through to keep up with the reservations. Food was slow to come though so issue only... More

It's a good decent Japanese restaurant , nothing fancy, not too many choices of sashimi(raw fish.) But the miso soup is great, that's the way you figure whether a Japanese restaurant is good or not by their miso soup!! We also love the grilled eggplant, yum-yum!!

Appearance doesn't say anything about the food or staff of a restaurant. By change we passed by and saw that it was busy inside. The decoration is very simple, but the staff is very friendly and the two sushi plates we ordered for lunch were delicious and fresh made.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
