The restaurant is nice old stylish american steak house the portions and the service are good i would love to have in the catalog to have the option of a t-bone steak for one person average price per portion 50-60 USD.I suggest it if you are in the center and you want to eat a steak .

We ate in Wollensky's Grill on a busy Wednesday night. The atmosphere inside was something else and the waiters took great care off us. Me and my girlfriend both had the burger (at a great price) and it was probably the best burger either of us had every had. We ate here again on our last night and I had... More

This Grill is around the corner from Smith & Wollensky's. While each has access to the other the kitchens are separate and the menus different. The Grill is one of my favorite places in NYC. Colorado ribeye, excellent crabcakes, shrimp and salads to name a few. Burgers are delicious. The waitstaff is very professional and do their best to ensure... More

Now this was a surprise ...Tired , hot ,and in desperate need of a decent meal we took our chances and popped in here ..anything to get away fro the OTT prices and bad service experienced at The Waldorf and I don't think we could have made a better decision..unless of course we had taken a cab to Gemma at... Lunch at the bar at Wollensky's Grill was a bit more of a casual affair than lunch in the restaurant proper would have been, but it allowed us to watch some tele at the same time, and the restaurant was full in any event. Food was excellent. Service very good, though it was evident that the bartender knew certain bar... More

We turned up to the Smith and Wollensky steakhouse as a party of 8 on President's Day at 7:30. Unfortunately they had no tables but made a call and fitted us in to the adjacent grill - which has a slightly condensed menu. The service was fantastic, the food great - lobster, steak, ribs and the whole place just had... More

We'd asked the bar manager in our hotel for a suggestion of somewhere to eat (we had, after all, dined with him three times during our stay), as we were specifically looking for a proper American restaurant with ribs. He suggested Smith and Wollensky, just around the corner; we arrived to discover that the place is split into two, with... More

Lots of people standing 3-4 deep at the bar, a wait for a table, expensive drinks, but the food was great: A terrific veal chop, a wonderful halibut, perfectly cooked asparagus, very good service with eager to help waiters. We'll be back

We both ordered steak. Mine was tough and gristly. The server acted as if he was doing us a favor by noticing us at all. There were two VERY loud and crude groups near us and nothing was done to tone them down. After many years teaching in inner city schools I do have a good bit of tolerance for... More
