We started out entering the main restaurant. Way too fancy for our needs. Asked to go outside, and the waitstaff acted as though we were breaking a code. I spoke with the manager and the grille it was. Waiter was a cute british guy, and he took good care of us. I had a huge burger cooked just right (medium... More

I went there with my girlfriend, and if my fillet mignon with Roquefort was amazing as usual, the lamb chops of my girlfriend were not very tasty... I was very surprised with this fact... The temperature of the restaurant was also quite cold. Nevertheless, the service was spotless, as usual.

The staff is very courteous and the atmosphere is decent. We had NY strip, filet mignon and cajun filet....all were cooked to perfection and the flavor was very good. The side of hashbrowns were the best I have tasted. I usually do not like hashbrowns since they taste like they have all been frozen. These were unusually good. The salads... More

We had a wonderful meal in this totally cool place. We had two small children who were well accommodated. But what was amazing was the food! I had a burger! This was not a mere burger..... this was heaven on a bun! These people know their meat and know how to do it well! My husband had a steak salad,... More

As far as iconic New York eateries go, Smith & Wollensky's ranks among the real classics. Wollensky's Grill offers the chance to have a meal there at a quicker pace, though the menu is more limited. I had the Surf & Turf sandwich (half of a lobster roll, half of a steak sandwich). It was fantastic and one of my... More

We ate in Wollensky's Grill on a busy Wednesday night. The atmosphere inside was something else and the waiters took great care off us. Me and my girlfriend both had the burger (at a great price) and it was probably the best burger either of us had every had. We ate here again on our last night and I had... More

This Grill is around the corner from Smith & Wollensky's. While each has access to the other the kitchens are separate and the menus different. The Grill is one of my favorite places in NYC. Colorado ribeye, excellent crabcakes, shrimp and salads to name a few. Burgers are delicious. The waitstaff is very professional and do their best to ensure... More

Now this was a surprise ...Tired , hot ,and in desperate need of a decent meal we took our chances and popped in here ..anything to get away fro the OTT prices and bad service experienced at The Waldorf and I don't think we could have made a better decision..unless of course we had taken a cab to Gemma at... Lunch at the bar at Wollensky's Grill was a bit more of a casual affair than lunch in the restaurant proper would have been, but it allowed us to watch some tele at the same time, and the restaurant was full in any event. Food was excellent. Service very good, though it was evident that the bartender knew certain bar... More
