A staple stop

Love this place. They serve dinner until 2 am, so it tends to be a staple late-night stop after work. It is expensive- this is a NYC steakhouse, but it is worth it. Two menus, the Grill but you can always ask for the Smith and Wollensky menu. Steaks typically done right. If they aren't, say... read more

Dinner at Wollenskys Grill never disappoints. We go several times a year and have been going every New Year's Eve for several years. My husband and I celebrated my birthday last night and it was wonderful. Our filets were excellent and so was the service. The Grill is much more laid back than the main restaurant and is a great... I had the Fillet with a baked potato. The fillet was very good. Cooked perfect. Baked potato was a little over cooked. The service was slow and the place was not very full. They worked in a team and maybe I was in the slow section by window. The special board was mounted so only 1 table can see it.... More

Our waiter was horrible and for the $250 meal for two people I'm incredibly disappointed!!! Not worth it at all!!! This place is loud, crowded, and run down! Our waitress was incredibly inattentive and thankfully forgot to bring out an over priced side order because we were so turned off by the lack of quality we didn't want it anyway.... More

Wollensky's Grill is a more casual environment than the regular Smith and Wollensky restaurant but it still has the best prime rib! My mom, 10-year old son and I like the prime rib the best. They also have a nice salad with strips of steak in it if you are watching your weight but still want to have the taste... More

we had steak and lamb chops. Both very delicious. A bit pricey, but enjoyed our evening. Good for couples. We sat on the enclosed porch but it was a little chilly. Would sit inside next time.

Nice restaurant. Meal was lovely and served well. My only concern was the Maitre d, on entering the restaurant he was on his phone he did acknowledge us eventually saying he wouldn't be a minute but he carried on with his phone call which appeared to be a personal call not business after a few minutes we were shown to... Great place for a solid steak. As a restaurant, they offer other things as well, but I like to keep it simple and stick with steak. I'm usually here for business, so opt for medium rare to keep everyone happy, but go rare if you can to really enjoy their delicious aged steaks. Crab and shrimp are wonderful too, as... More

I like Wollenskys grill. It is less formal then Smith&Wollensky and the prices seem lower. The quality of the steaks are just as good. The service is fine. The ambiance is not as nice as the big brother.

Having arrived in the City and seeking a dependable meal, my wife and I decided to go to a place we have gone many times. My wife ordered the Roast Beef Hash (her favorite) and I the Veal Chop. When her hash came the poached egg was almost hard boiled and we sent it back. My chop was ordered medium... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
