A nice steak dinner

We visited BLT Steak on December 28,2015. There are lots of steakhouses in NYC to choose from. We've eaten at a number of them. This is as good as any and the prices from one to the next pretty consistent. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was very good with a liver pate and toast points... read more

Went for a meal with my partner. One of the best T bone steaks I've ever had. The steak portion was massive. Food was cooked to perfection. The signature bread or us Brits call it "Yorkshire Pudding " was very impressive. I would recommend this restaurant for groups or couples. It's s great setting, private but also social setting. Staff... More

Brilliant surroundings. Knowledgable staff. Attentive when required. The steak was perfectly cooked and although not cheap at all. Worth the money.. The poppers were amazing.

Went with a couple of friends recently and overall everything was pretty good. As many other reviewers have mentioned the popovers are pretty amazing. Had the tuna tartare for an app and that was really good. Ordered the bone-in ribeye and that was just ok, not the quality I expected for a New York steakhouse. It was cooked perfectly to... More

On a Evergreen bus tour from San Francisco to Denver we thought we would come to grips with what we believed to be an American staple Ribs of any sort. The closest we got was the Irma Hotel in Cody, Wyoming at their renowned Buffet but every time they hit the self serve they disappeared quicker than we could move.... More

The popovers are great. The service is mediocre. One of the people in my party ordered a filet for lunch. The filet was sent back three times to be cooked correctly. They did not apologize that everyone at lunch had to eat at a different time. They did not make any accommodations. The hamburger and lamb chops were very good.... More

Service is good. Food is above average for the pricing point. This place is always packed but I think it has more to do with location. It is filled with Wall Street types and is popular as a power lunch venue. I'm rating it at above average because the pricing point meets the quality of food that you get, unlike... More

Wonderful steakhouse and a fabulous mid-town location. You must make a reservation in advance. the popovers are the absolute best and they give you the recipe. The menu is up on a blackboard in a few locations around the walls of the restaurant. The steaks are fantastic and depending on your appetite you can share with a spouse if you... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
