Intimate and lovely

My daughters and I chose this restaurant because it was close to my hotel. Branzino special, pasta with lobster, and pasta triangles did not disappoint. Small, but nice wine list. Great coffees. Our server was attentive and skilled. Looking forward to a follow up visit.

An unassuming entrance leads into a little slice of Italy, with real Italian waiters, and authentic and delicious salads, pastas and secondis of both meat and fish. I am normally in this neighborhood for lunch and split the artichoke salad with lemon dressing and parmesan, and one of the splendid pastas, such as today's special tagliatelle with clams and broccoli.... Do not pass up this restaurant. It is a true gem on East 57th Street. Charming ambiance, delicious food, daily specials, great service and consistently good. Friends introduced us to Teodora and we have become regulars since.

My wife and I were looking for a small Italian restaurant to enjoy a romantic dinner on our last night in New York. This place certainly fit the bill. Its atmosphere is very nice for couples to share a quiet candlelit dinner, the staff is very friendly and the food is superb. I would highly recommend this restaurant to couples... More

Two of my friends and I have lunch at Teodora once a month. The staff is always glad to see us, which is a miracle as we sit at "our table" upstairs! The specials are well described as specials. One was an incredible salad of lovely fresh young lettuces, sliced pear, walnuts, and pecorino cheese - we think it was... More

Teodora is an outstanding Italian restaurant in Mid Town New York City. The outstanding Italian staff are welcoming, attentive and friendly, without being overly obtrusive. The restaurant is relatively quiet and has a wonderful friendly ambience with white tablecloths and eclectic memorabilia scattered around the place. Its perfect for a romantic lunch or dinner (which I enjoyed with my Wife)... More

I recently dined at Teodora for a business dinner. We were with two people from Rome, Italy, who dine at Teodora frequently, as the food reminds them of home. I ordered the artichoke salad and the Balsamic chicken. The artichoke salad had a lovely lemony dressing and was quite good. If you like crunchy salads, this is a great choice,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
