Good food and service

High end, high priced, busy crowd. Steaks start at about $50 a la carte. Service is pretty good and food was very good.

Came here in June for my birthday and was an overall ok meal. Steaks very big but not cooked correctly to order and didn't taste like the best cuts. Having lived in London and been to some terrific steak houses this was way off the best. Appetisers, drinks and service nice and they did a nice desert suppose as it... More

Business dinner celebrationcel with 11 people in our party. Couldn't have been better. Despite the sold out restaurant, we had an endless array of servers at our disposal. The Sirloin had perhaps the best flavor and texture imaginable. Well done Sparks, plan to do this again.

Sparks Steakhouse was a very nice dining experience. It is very old school, dimly lit, white tablecloths, nice music and friendly, professional service. The large menus contain old favorites like shrimp cocktail to Cherries Jubilee. The steaks are large and flavorful. Interesting bar area. It is a very "New York " evening. Lots of fun. Enjoy!

One of the very best steaks I've had in New York! Don't ask for a steak sauce because your waiter will tell you that you don't need it. They like to do that and then get you some ! Still this is the quality here! I love my steak with sauces like bernaise sauce or pepper sauce. All around great... More

Came here on recommendations of raving reviews from friends and other trip advisor's reviews. Was celebrating the fact that we just got married. Service was acceptable at the start. Ordered a bunch of starters and the filet mignon, medium. It came out rare. Asked for it to be recooked - took 15 minutes. It came out rare again, but got... More

The atmosphere is great but the food subpar. The steak I ordered was under cooked and had a large vein/muscle running through it. I should have sent it back but decided not to. My bad.

Great service that is warm but not too much. Every visit makes you feels like home, same waiters in ages, amazing food.

We had a family group of 7 and booked in advance. Sparks came highly recommended by a colleague who lives in NYC. We took the recommendations from the waiter and started with a 4LB lobster and a few sides of salads. We each ordered steaks; what else in a famous steakhouse! We expected US courses to be large,a and the... More

Sparks has the clean busy atmosphere you look for when you are in NYC. The food is outstanding, the service fast and efficient, and the decor is classic. Put Sparks on your list of can't miss places to dine.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
