Good choice for East Side Indian buffet

Finally came here for the well-priced lunch buffet with my teenage daughter, and we'll definitely be back. Arrived on the later side (close to 1:30) but there was still ample choice, both veg and non-veg; my daughter loved the chicken tikka masala and fish curry, but really, everything was pretty... read more

The candied cauliflower is SO good. It is a must. The atmosphere here is warm and friendly. The wait staff was attentive but not overbearing. I can't speak to the price--somebody else picked up the tab. My one and only complaint about this restaurant was the lack of dessert choices.

We really love this spot on the upper East side. We were first taken here by friends a couple of years ago who live nearby a couple of years ago and it is one of the their favorites. We returned for dinner on our own. There are a huge number of dishes to choose from, the prices are nearly unimaginably... More

The lunch buffet includes lots of plates and good service; most of the dishes were rather so so. Only the eggplant tasted very good. The food was abundant, and reasonably priced. Afterwards, my wife was sick, perhaps because of the food.

A fairly comprehensive menu and if our choices were representative its going to be all good. The portions are large so don't be frightened to share! The ambience is a bit of a let down but service was efficient.

I visited for an early dinner after going to Top of the Rocks. I was dining solo and felt comfortable being in my own even though it was my first night in NYC. I ended up having two mango cocktails with my dinner as they were so good. I ordered the tandoori shrimp mast and the dal tadka. I always... More

This is one of our favorite Indian restaurants in NYC. Wonderful staff, decent wine list for an Indian restaurant and awesome food. We have not yet had the lunch buffet as it is difficult to get to parking during the work day but their dinner menu offerings are off the charts. Not overly spicy where you don't taste the food... Spicy curries and vindaloo are sublime here, but also tamer dishes. There are a lot iof Tamil specialties like savitri Amma's Rasam, a vegan dish with lentils, tomatoes and curry sauce; pakora; eggplant layered with tamarind; cauliflower and ginger; And there are things like an assortment of different kebabs and delicious Cochin lamb chops. They also have a cart with... More

Appreciate Indian buffets that give you a new variety of selections and not just the same old tikki masala. Found quite a few selections that I've never tried before and enjoyed all, particularly the Pongal. $35 for two lunch buffets, one soda and one chai tea . Would eat here again on a return trip.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
