We chose this restaurant for dinner because it´s close to the Tram to Roosevelt Island and we wanted to have dinner before going there. By the reviews, seemed a good choice and the fact that we had to wait for a table made us think that it is really a popular place. We ordered samosas to share and different entreés... More

I have been to many Indian restaurants in NY but have never come across such an overrated restaurant by Tripadviser readers!! So so disappointed and certainly will not recommend or revisit this place ever again in future. I ordered Medhu Vada as a starter. It came with a very tasteless and watery Coconut sauce. I assure you that is not... More

We read some very positive reviews about Chola and we were not disappointed when we dined here for the first time. After a busy morning of shopping and walking around the East Side, including a trip to nearby Roosevelt Island, Chola was a welcome oasis for two very hungry and tired people! We simply ordered the lunch buffet as it... More

Mast Mast Jhinga a shrimp dish, is delicious but beware it is hot! ask them to go easy on the chillie. Good value good service. Wil go back when... More

This area of town has a lot of Indian restaurants, but Chola is my pick for the restaurant with the best bang for the buck. The service and atmosphere are exceptional, and food is very good. The lunch buffet is also a good deal.

We saw that this restaurant was highly rated as one of the best Indian restaurants in NYC, so we went there for lunch one weekend and were very disappointed. They had a buffet which could not have been more generic - the chole (which was too garlicky), the saag paneer (blah), the dal (just plain tasteless), the aloo gobi (too... More

Could just have been my taste buds at the time, but I really didn't think our take out from Chola was very special at all. My family thought otherwise, so I'm sure we'll give it another try...
