My family and I didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly in a relatively full restaurant on one of the banquet tables on the wall against the mirrors. We had excellent service despite the full restaurant. Our waiter was efficient and friendly and served our food piping hot. Also loved the restaurant interior..very sumptuous. Would have gone again but... More

Petrossian is typical of a "fine dining" establishment in New York City. Located in a grand old building in an upscale area, the restaurant is beautifully appointed. The menu relates the interesting history of this Armenian family bringing caviar into Paris resulting in the cultural blend manifest in the restaurant with dishes such as sturgeon. The food was well prepared... More

Service was wonderful. The restaurant week menu had a varied selection. Tried the caviar which was cool. Dessert was very tasty. Portion sizes on the the very very small size even for France..Good we tried it -- I would not return other places are superior.

Best brunch I think I've ever had! There were 3 of us, all novices to caviar, but not unsophisticated diners. We could not believe our experience! Amazing caviar, and we gained an incredible understanding of how to experience and compare different caviars from our outstanding waiter Elton. The food was glorious too - tuna tartar, a sampler plate of different... More

Walk in early evening diners, warm welcome, quickly seated, impressive ambience due to decor, menu seemed limited but food was of very high quality and portions were correctly sized IMO. Bill was correct and service was professional and quick. We enjoyed all the dishes and would eat there again. Pricing was reasonable for quality product.

Very disappointed by this restaurant. The food is good, but for the same price you get a better dinner at LE BERNARDIN with a better service. We were offered champagne, because my friend is a client, but we found the glasses charged on our check. This is not elegant. The place is old fashioned, I would even say tacky, but... More

First time at this restaurant. We have admired the striking exterior for many years and so were delighted to see the inside was beautiful elegant art decor. We had the prix-fixe dinner with supplement for some caviar. Very good value as the food was delicious and the service excellent. Definitely recommended.

This place has been for 25/30 years keeping the high standars and the quality of the food that they offer. If the pre or after theater is a must..,also Sunday brunch is excellent..Relation quality / price is extremely fair Perfectlly located two blocks from Central Park.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
