Sublime from start to finish.

My wife and I went to Per Se for her 30th birthday and the entire experience was one of the best (if not the best) of our lives. From the welcome to the wonderful gift of the personalised menu signed by the chef at the end the service and food was exceptional. The staff were friendly and... read more

Let me get right to the point: Per Se combined the best food and the best service we have ever had into one spectacular dinner! Per Se is easily our new #1 restaurant (fine dining or otherwise). My wife and I dined at Per Se in celebration of our 10 year wedding anniversary. This meal was, without any doubt, the... More

The best and simplest description is the entire experience was a food symphony that was orchestrated with precision. The menu, even for a fairly well traveled diner, will test what you think you know about food. Our server Vanessa, was the most well trained and professional server we've possibly ever had, anywhere. The cost to dine here is not without... More

So once you get over the surprise that this culinary haven is in a shopping mall it's amazing. Service perfect, tasting menu is stunning and the view cool. There are two menus a vegetarian tasting menu and a second one with fish and meat. Make sure you don't have lunch before you have the dinner there are 8 courses and... More

Every item on the nine course chefs tasting menu was delicious and most extraordinary. This should be on any foodie's bucket list. The menu changes daily, but I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Our appetizers were all fantastic and the meat and seafood served was perfect. Service was flawless as you would expect from the well trained staff.

I have dined at both the dining room and the salon area, I enjoyed every moment of it. Pristine environment with seamless service on top of exquisite food, how much more one could ask for ?!

The meal was fantastic and memorable. With added treats for our anniversary experience. The staff was excellent, well informed, and most especially, friendly.

sterile, hotel-like setting with great views. Some excellent wait staff but the sommelier unfortunately not hitting the mark with my dining partner. The most over priced and over complicated vegetarian tasting menu I have ever had. The omnivore degustation menu a little better although a few dishes completely missing the mark. I'd direct them to L'Arpege to see what an... More

Its not a meal but an experience. Decor was much much more formal than French Laundry but the countless creative courses added up to an experience to remember. On the advise of friends we added the wine pairings which we would recommend highly. Crazy expensive, but worth it (at least once). In preparation for this three hour gastronomical adventure, fasting... More

A visit to Per Se is an experience to remember. The dining room is stylishly decorated and has a pleasant view of the southwest corner of Central Park. As it should be in a restaurant of this class, the service was amazing and impeccable, and the waiters managed to be both professional and personal. In my opinion, the decisive difference... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
