Simply memorable; always outstanding!

This is my first review of Per Se, although I have eaten there for at least 200 times over the past years. This is my first review of Per Se, although I have eaten there for at least 200 times over the past years. Highly recommended and returning tonight, again!

We had the perfect anniversary dinner at Per Se. We were seated at a beautiful table overlooking Columbus Circle. We ordered the Chef's Tasting Menu. We enjoyed all of the courses and were served many extras in between courses. Standouts for me were the Oysters and Pearls with a briny tapioca broth and perfect serving of caviar. The foie gras... My son and I ducked into Per Se the other evening and were lucky enough to snag one of the lounge tables. Same food, but a la carte. We ordered cocktails and oh my god, those glasses were as thin as paper! What luxury. We ordered appetizers and entrees - if I remember correctly everything hovered in the $40 price... More

My family and I, we eat...everywhere! We have visited over 2 dozen of the top 100 restaurants in the world (hopefully I'll get to the review of those soon) and we love to indulge. This is the second time we've been to Per Se and I must say it does not disappoint! We were here back in 2008 when we... More

Well, that choice was easy - we got the new BMW M235xi and instead had a bottle of Gruener Veltliner from Austria and a bottle of Gigondas - 200 bucks total. Per Se is not cheap, but it is worth every penny, and the fact that it boasts ridiculously priced wines (for heaven's sake, who can afford a 50K bottle... More

Our group of 6 had a Saturday dinner at Per Se. The ladies in our group are dedicated Thomas Keller fans so Per Se was a natural choice. Our principal server Sandra, the sommelier Justin, and server Steve were just incredible. You expect first-class service but Sandra, Justin and Steve (with the help of their team) managed the exact right... More

What a lovely restaurant and overall culinary experience. At first, we were a bit underwhelmed with the location at the top level of a shopping mall, but from the moment we walked into the sitting area and view of Central Park we were hooked. The multiple courses of food were "melt in your mouth" delicious. The servings are small but... More

This restaurant is simply amazing. Totally worth it if you are in to fine dining experience. Elegance, finesse, atmosphere and unique food. The restaurant setting gives you privacy and an amazing view regardless the location of your table. Amazing flower decorations. Staff simply immaculate. We decided to combine a different glass of wine per dish, it was an excellent choice.

Background- 3 Michelin star restaurant and an offshoot of the very popular The French Laundry in California. There is a strict dress code here with jackets a must. Service can be so professional that it borders on stiff. Food- I appreciate the expensive ingredients but I only found the Terrine of Hudson Valley Moulard Duck Foie Gras impressive. The other... What a fantastic culinary experience. We were made to feel extremely special from the moment we walked in and were offered champagne and congratulated on our wedding anniversary to the goodie bag we left with several hours later. The food and wine ( selected for us course by course by Andy ) were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble...including recharging... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
