Thomas Keller is making tradition international cuisine and I would assume that almost every single person would enjoy the food at Per Se as it is out-of-this-world. There is so much attention to details that the experience of dining at Per Se extends far beyond than just the food. Every single moment and plate of food has been carried out... More

Per Se is by far the best restaurant in NY. It service is beyond wonderful, and the cuisine is very French Laundry based. I can not say enough about Per Se. The location is great for the city and it still has a peaceful atmosphere with outstanding décor.

It's basically French Landry with a view of Central Park. The 7 course menu ended up being about 11 courses - all of which were amazing! I particularly enjoyed the Foie Gras upgrade & the lamb. Wow!!!! It is very pricey, particularly when you order copious amount of wine. However, it is one of the best gourmet meals you'll ever... More

Lunch was a lovely progression. Timing between courses was perfect from the caviar appetizer to the lightly grilled lobster (delicious!), a medallion of coq au vin that was incredibly rich, and lamb wrapped in bacon (how could this not be good). The wine list is extensive and the sommelier extremely helpful. Service is included in the prix fixe menu.

A restaurant that actually lives up to its reputation. Absolutely remarkable food and impeccable service. Rather than drone on about the details of the food, suffice it to say that it is as good as it gets. Treat yourself here, it's definitely worth it.

I was here for a business lunch. The food and presentation were both wonderful. The service was flawless and there were a lot of us. I will admit that I am not even sure what some of the things were that I ate but everything was worth it. Not sure I would go back unless it is for another business... More

We didn't think we would ever like anything better than The French Laundry but I dare say this was even better. Maybe it's because we had a late seating (9:00) at FL and an earlier (5:45) at Per Se. The dishes that stood out were the Waygu steak, truffles with soft egg, and brown butter ice cream. A big thanks... More

We chose to celebrate my recent 50th birthday here with my husband and two young adult daughters. I must admit we couldn't help but have high expectations, but I'm pleased to say every expectation was met and more. It was a truly special experience from the moment we were shown our table. The service was delightful. The food was divine.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
