My partner and I were visiting NYC in May 2005 and before we left Scotland a colleague of mine, who had just returned from a trip to New York, said she had tried to get a table at PER SE but was unlucky. I had never heard of the restaurant but she said if was very difficult to get any... more

Amazing, as one would expect. However, everything was so perfectly done...there didn't seem to much love in the preperation. Glad I went for the experience....don't need to go again. more

The best dining experience EVER - bar none. Amazing food, superb service and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Expensive but good value given the quality of the food and they even had a jacket for Dan, no fuss, no snobbery and no problem. GIving us copies of the menu on the way out was a lovely touch. If in... more

I went to NY Per Se. And it was not as good as we (me and my husband) thought... I´m sorry but why give someone a jacket, just to enter the place? He was not weating jeans or anything like that... "Okay" he said to the hostess... but come on... Okay again but we also go for many amazing restarantes... more

My girlfriend and I dined at Per Se and loved every minute of it. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and seem to be able to cater to every wish. The food was outstanding, as was the wine. Sure the restaurant is hard to get a table at and is quite expensive but I feel like it was very worth... more

Had dinner at Per Se for our anniversary. Food was good but most dishes we had, reminded us on our dinner we had a couple of years ago at the French Laundry. Wine list is very expensive. Water and coffee are included in the bill. Service was very good. Food ingredients were top notch. Burrata as a cheese course boring???... more

Had a great meal here - the 9 course tasting- in August of 2009. The restaurant is gorgeous - the decor and ambiance are beautiful. I loved the large two-top tables that kept us at a distance from other diners and made for a really intimate dinner. The service was not quite perfect. There was one female busperson whose disinterest... more

In NYC for the Labor Day week-end, we asked the concierge at our excellent hotel if they could get us a reservation at Per Se, based on Trip Advisor rating this restaurant #1 in Manhattan. They did get us a reservation for 6 pm on Sunday. When we arrived we were greeted by unwelcoming people who refused to believe that... more

Celebrated our 1st anniversary at Per Se and was expected to be blown away given its reputation. Great food prepared simply yet elegantly. Would give it 4.5 stars if possible. However, I was quite disappointed right at the 1st course - their signature Oysters and Pearls - had a tiny strand of hair in it! I guess it could happen... more

Everything was to perfection. The courses kept coming and between them, small, unbelievably delicious morsels of unimagined tastes and smells. Three hours is barely enough time to take in the beauty of the restaurant, the setting, the professionalism of the staff, much less the food. This will remain an anniversary to remember. more
