My husband and are definitely meat lovers, but we decided to take a chance on the vegetarian tasting menu for lunch. It was incredible, so glad we took the chance. We were definitely satisfied and the desserts were incredible. Highly recommend this restaurant when in New York. It's worth every penny.

Went for a dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday in NY. We have 2 younger kids and the restaurant was flexible enough to adjust their menu to suit our children's appetites, though it was at prevailing prices. They were very nice to prepare a private room for us with a wonderful view of the Central Park. The service was immaculate... More

Took a family of 5 to lunch for my daughter's 21st bday. Obviously not a cheap venture, but we all agreed it was invaluable. Included one picky preteen eater, one teen vegan, one former vegan, and two carnivores, and all emerged happy and satisfied. We were that family busily stuffing our pockets with homemade chocolate, which they happily wrapped up... More

Dinner Monday 14-07-2014, arrived at 17:45 for only available time slot. Understated, neat sense of arrival, overwhelming fresh cut flower floral aromas at foyer, neat pre- dinner lounge. Opted to be seated at table. Good view over Central Park, spacious, high ceiling room, two tiered to enable back tables also a view. Neat, modern, simple design with Chimene in action... More

I had high expectations for this restaurant and they almost lived up to it. Most of the courses were excellent although there were a couple of let downs (there was a sweet and sour dish in the middle was a bit jarring). The service was good but not quite as intuitive as I would have expected and they had only... More

I like to read bad experiences from TA members before I write mine. I do believe that if you take the time to write positive or negative, your words must be heard. Most definitely this type of food is not for everyone (El Bulli, French Laundry, Le Bernandin, Noma, Per Se) even if you are a food aficionado. There are... More

With service in the Salon, I can stop in for a bite every time I'm in New York. The food is exquisite, the welcome is warm, the atmosphere is serene and the service is knowledgable.

We dined here as a group or 10 and whilst there was some difficulty in arranging the table, the evening could not have been better. The food was sublime, service helpful but not intrusive and the wine list to die for. When can we go back was the common refrain!

It is no wonder that Per Se's reviews read like a thesaurus list of synonyms for excellent. It just is. Not just the food "per se", but the total dining experience. Service is impeccable. Just to mention a couple of examples, I just happened to wonder aloud where fireworks can best be viewed ( it was the 4th of July),... More
