Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients.

The 'casual' side of Jean Georges still feels like a special place. Service is excellent, the menu is very interesting with plenty of options, and the atmosphere let's you know you're in a noteworthy space. I had the crab cake appetizer with grapefruit and a parsley oil. It was light, crispy and wonderful. My main dish was veal milanese over... More

We requested a window table for a view of the park when we made our reservation. That wasn't mentioned when we checked in. OK so they moved us to the middle of the restaurant we could live with that. Lots of wait staff running around but not attentive to the customers had to almost grab someone to get there attention.... More

Superb service and high quality food. Great presentation. The prix fixe menu was a great value - our $38/each meal was probably valued at $70 otherwise given we ordered seafood dishes.

We had the fixed price lunch and our food was delicious. I had the roast fennel salad and it was wipe the plate yummy. I then had the chicken dish which is served with carrots. The carrots were out of this world. And then to top it off I had the warm chocolate cake, very, very good. I had only... More

The food was delicious. We had the artichoke for an appetizer and then I had the salmon. It is a nice view looking out toward Central Park. The service was great. All questions were answered and they made sure we got our food on time for us to make it to the opera on time.

Really great night, with excellent food, service and great atmosphere! We've enjoyed every dish and we were 4 with different dishes. The service was really nice, the music great and we felt like we have to come back and more, to go further and have a dinner at Jean Georges. Which we did, in march.

My husband and I ate at Nougatine on Thursday 19th February. While the upscale Jean Georges might have three Michelin Stars next door, on this night, Nougatine did not live up to previous excellent experiences. My starter ceviche was bland and uninteresting, my husband's tomato soup with grated cheese was just that - the kind of soup I whip up... More

Enough positive things cannot be said about this fantastic restaurant. The food is exquisite. Each bite explodes with flavor. Adequate portions. I hated lunch to end. Limited REstaurant Week choices but two guests had Risotto with Wild Mushroom Risotto as appetizers. Divine. Both ordered flounder but instead were served the parmesan crusted chicken over white asparagus. Our guest was too... More

It's been a year since I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and still the meal I enjoyed at Nougatine lingers on my pallet as if it were moments ago. It certainly rates as the finest meal I have experienced - and I've dined at many spectacular restaurants throughout the world. I had fish for main and the... More
