Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients.

Enough positive things cannot be said about this fantastic restaurant. The food is exquisite. Each bite explodes with flavor. Adequate portions. I hated lunch to end. Limited REstaurant Week choices but two guests had Risotto with Wild Mushroom Risotto as appetizers. Divine. Both ordered flounder but instead were served the parmesan crusted chicken over white asparagus. Our guest was too... More

It's been a year since I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and still the meal I enjoyed at Nougatine lingers on my pallet as if it were moments ago. It certainly rates as the finest meal I have experienced - and I've dined at many spectacular restaurants throughout the world. I had fish for main and the... More

While my recent experience at Nougatine was rather underwhelming, Jean Georges' decadent chocolate cake made the meal worthwhile. I arrived on time for my reservation but had to wait for a few minutes in the hotel foyer before being shown to my table. This was completely understandable, and the delay was compensated for by my prime window-side table. The service... More

I visited Nougatine during restaurant week. The restaurant is nice and the service was very good. I came during restaurant week and even though it was extremely busy they manage to get us a table without reservation. The cuisine was creative and the portions were reasonable. Overall it is a great spot for lunch, although there are Michelin-starred restaurants in... More

We like everything--try one of the special egg or pancake dishes; sample the carrot juice; it's all yummy, and with a superb view of Central Park--but the price! Prepare to pay, unless you are a careful small eater. Service is excellent, and for a restaurant that becomes semi-crowded by 9:30 or 10, it is quiet and relaxing. A perfect way... More

My husband and I had a most scrumptious dinner here on a recent visit to NYC. The food presentation was absolutely impeccable and the service was excellent. The staff anticipated our every need - we never had to ask for anything. We will most definitely recommend this restaurant to friends traveling to NYC and hope to dine here ourselves on... More

The place was lovely but after all the hype about the food and atmosphere, we were somewhat unimpressed. We had lunch and each of us had something we liked, but everyone but me was not thrilled with the food. Three had butternut squash soup , which was wonderful, and one had calamari , which he loved. I had the shrimp... More

I recently was staying at Trump Hotel with my parents to celebrate my mother's birthday. We decided to meet at Nougatine for breakfast one morning and the food, ambience and service was perfect. The food was prepared exactly as we ordered and was simply delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant has stunning views of Central... More
